Less than favourable

I live and work in Canada's North. I'm lucky if 50% of my driving is on paved roads, and I consider the fact that these tires came from the factory as part of the "off road package" absolutely laughable. I can't count the amount of times that my 3/4 ton Ram has had to be pulled out of a soft snow covered shoulder beside the road... or a wet grassy lawn... or heaven forbid a sandy work site. It's embarrassing. When I DO venture south and finally get to a highway, they perform adequately. But for what I require out of a truck tire, they are, quite frankly, dismal.

More than disappointed

I failed to rotate these tires so I know I added to the problem of tire wear, but at 19K the front tires are looking heavily worn and the rear tires are not far behind. I'm so unhappy with these tires that I decided to junk them and buy a new set of a different brand.

worn out at 40000

I just got my 40000 mile service from my Ford Dealer andthe tech came out to tell me that my next visit, I should really think about buying new tires, because they were starting to wear really bad. I didn't believe him. One of the tires has only 25000 miles on it as the valve stem blew out and the tire disinegrated and had to be replaced. Even the replaced tire is worn to the point that after a couple rotations I can no longer tell which tire has the least amount of wear.

We love this tire on our truck couldn't ask for better. We bought new tires last year just before Thanksgiving. The did everything we hoped for in this tire. We travel a lot and while out in Colorado back in Feb we went off road with our 2 wheel drive truck. Our truck got through the muddy clay batter than the 4 wheel drives did. Gas mileage on the road was better than we hoped for. Love the way this tire performs.

Great

In 2004 I purchased a 2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab 4x4 with a diesel engine. This truck came equipped with BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A in LT265/75R16. This vehicle in itself is heavy and I also pull a 30' fifth wheel when vacationing. I drive 60 miles a day to and from work and much of it is in 4 wheel drive. As of today I have 105,338 miles on these tires and believe they still have 25% of the tread left. I will be replacing them soon because I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where the winters are hard and long, old saying is 9 months of winter and 3 months of poor sledding. Thank you for a great product, I will be looking for another BF Goodrich product for a replacement.

90,000 Miles

I've just (9/23/13) replaced 4 BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A tires on my 4X4 pick up truck. I knew it had been a while since I'd put them on so I checked my records and found that I'd purchased those tires on 9/15/06 at 94,600 miles. When I replaced those tires, my odometer read 185,400. Now I'm no mathematician, but I add that up to 90,800, a remarkable number of miles for one set of tires. 7 years and 90,000 miles (I know I could have easily made it 100,000), you can bet your house that I replaced those 4 tires with 4 more Rugged Trail T/A's!

On snow and ice...

These tires came stock on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma. I had read poor reviews about these prior to purchase of the vehicle, but wanted to approach the reviews with a healthy level of skepticism. What I can tell you: I drive a lot, for both work and personal activities. Which means I put 30,000 miles on this vehicle in 11 months. I also live and work in a place where snow, ice and hardpack are around for 5 months of the year. I have never had to purchase specific winter tires for a vehicle. I purchased the truck new with these tires, kept them properly inflated and rotated every 5000 miles. Pros: The tires are light, quiet and fuel efficient for dry bare pavement and light rain. They did not disappoint for summer driving and light off road use 1-2 times per month on rocky or rutted gravel and sand roads with no change in tire pressure. The tires definitely wear well, as a result of the harder compound. Cons: These tires performed fine on hardpack snow in 4wd for the first 5,000- 10,000 miles worth of use. Shortly after I purchased the vehicle it was driven from Michigan to Montana in Mid November. Overall the tires performed reasonably well in mountain passes with fresh snow over ice and hardpack. However, after about 10,000 miles of use the tires did not hook up as well, in snow when cornering at low speeds, and stopping despite different driving styles (mine and my wife's) was downright unpredictable. Shortly therafter, I was unable make it up our short snow covered driveway without the use of 4wd, (in my previous vehicle wrangler rubicon unlimited with hankook and other BFG All terrain tires 4wd was not necessary.) I would not recommend these tires for anyone looking for an all terrain or all season tire for areas that receive significant amounts of snow. The hard compound does not hook up well in winter conditions.

looked good does not last long!

The tires came on my new 2011 Ford dually and after only 24,000 miles the front tires started to scallop and the right front wore the edge off. Had a wheel alignment and found still in factory specs. I replaced all six tires will another brand as the rear showed wear and would need replacement with in a couple months. Will not buy this brand of tires nor accept vehicle with this brand on it .

These tires are great! ...

These tires are great! They take me anywhere I choose to go,on and especially off-road! My gas mileage has remained incredible, also the car rides even smoother than it did before I instaled the BF'S. The solid construction of the tires allow me to air them down for a superior ride with no resistance on my little 4-CYL. Resulting in great fuel economy! GREAT WORK YA'LL! It's BF'S or walk!

Re-shoe for worn out soles

Great Tire so far. Our 2023 GMC Acadia SLT factory Primacy Tour A/S tires were good but were getting low on tread depth at 40,000 miles. With all the home reconstruction going on in Treasure Island, FL, due to last year's double whammy of a 3' of tidal surge and then Hurricane winds two weeks later, the "balding " tires were getting prone to debris/construction material nails, shards, etc.
