Weather cracks on sidewall

I bought my 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Mega Cab Turbo Diesel truck in November 2012. I like the tires but they seem to be weathering a lot on the sidewalls. They still have plenty of tread left but I am not sure they will last anouther 10,000 miles. I have put about 25000 miles on them (highway mostly). I am taking anouther trip to Arizona next month. The tire is a great tire but I just wonder if this was a bad batch... I am probably going to have to get a new set before my trip.

Rugged Trail TAs

My Nissan Titan Pro4 X truck came with these tires in 2008 and I just put my second pair on the truck. The handling, low road noise, long wear, and dependability make them worth much more than I paid for them. If this set lasts as good as the other I will never have anything else on my trucks from here on out.

On the 3rd set of tires...

These tires have got to be the best tires for a heavy duty truck ever made! Truck is on it's third set as of 1 Aug 2017. These were the same tires that came with the truck when new. The originals got 74,927 miles out of them. Second set was purchased in May 2014 and those lasted 75,523 miles. 3rd set got a new set of wheels as well. So the real truth will be how well this combo lasts. Bottom line, these tires have performed EXCELLENT in all driving conditions from the mountains of Montana and Colorado to the daily desert highway driving and desert hills and mountains of Nevada. Rain or snow, they have performed great! The second set saw about 5000 miles of pulling a toy hauler. RECOMMENDATION: Please continue to manufacture these tires and consider larger sizes in a LOAD RANGE E. I would like to move up to a 285/70R17, but don't quite care for a mud or all-terrain tire.

We love this tire on our truck couldn't ask for better. We bought new tires last year just before Thanksgiving. The did everything we hoped for in this tire. We travel a lot and while out in Colorado back in Feb we went off road with our 2 wheel drive truck. Our truck got through the muddy clay batter than the 4 wheel drives did. Gas mileage on the road was better than we hoped for. Love the way this tire performs.

Very satisfied will replace with same

Just rolled over69K on these originals on my F250 4X4. Looks like I might get another 1 to 2K out of them, which is amazing the way I use this truck. Off road, constant high speeds pulling trailers in hot west Texas. Only complaint is not the best in mud, but fantastic in snow & loose gravel. Just got back from Alaska pulling a travel trailer. Roads from hell. No complaints on the tires, lots of folks had failures, these did great only 1 flat.

AWESOME!!!

Best set of tires I have ever had. I have 100,000 on the tires and they have many more miles left on them. I have a 2500 Dodge Ramp Quad Cab that spends most of its time towing a 3 horse slant gooseneck trailer to barrel races, horse shows and back country trail rides. This truck is also the family vehicle so it gets all kinds of use other than hwy miles. I have never in my life had a set of tires come anywhere close to lasting this long. This is the only tire I will buy to replace these and I'm sharing my story with all my friends and family.

LT 265 70R 17

Bought a 2005 F250 Super Duty 4X4 Diesel with BF Goodrich Rugged Trail TA's 265 70R 17's and just replaced them with the same tire. I had 48000 miles on these tires and could have gotten another year out of them but with the original tires over 8 years old, I decided to replace them. I am very pleased with BF Goodrich tires.

2 and half years and no issues

I have had these tires for 2 and half years and have had no issues. I live in the North and I am also an avid outdoorsman. I have had my 03 Ram in fields, rough trails, snow, and the highway. They aren't the greatest off road tire but they are adequate and they are smooth and quiet on the highway. I have about 25000 miles on them and would expect about another 25000 out of them.

Must have hit the lottery with my Rugged Trail T/A

I have read a lot of reviews on the Rugged Trail T/A tires, and to say the reviews are mixed is an understatement. To the point that I must have hit the lottery with the OEM tires that came on my F150 with HDPP. The size of my OEM tires is LT245/75R17 LRE. Apparently, these tires come in two different tread designs, but the design on mine is the "dog bone" design that the KO2's come in. I just ordered a set of KO2's to replace the OEM Rugged Trail's on my truck. I have 71,250 miles currently on my truck.

These are the best tires I have ever owned

I bought my F150 new in 2013. It is an Ecoboost Lariat (Crew Cab) with the Max Trailer Tow package and the Heavy Duty Payload package. I ordered the truck from the factory with these options because I occasionally tow a tractor that all in with the trailer weighs approximately 10k lbs and may have passengers as well. The heavy duty payload package means that you get LT rated tires, rather than P, to accommodate heavy payloads. I went online to about 20k miles ago because I was curious if others have had the same experience I have. At 90k + miles the tires were still in great shape. To confirm, the model tires I have are the Rugged Trail T/A LT245/75R17. I was surprised to see more than a few negative reviews. Not sure if these are due to having different model tires from what I have or not. At 113k miles on my truck and with the original tires, they are still in great shape. I just had my inspection today and passed. My mechanic and I have talked before today about the tires, and he can't believe I have this many miles on them. I'm attaching pictures as well to show what they look like. I use my truck for around town driving/to and from work, with towing 3-4 times a year for about 1000 miles, and going off-road at the beach every year for a week. I rotate my tires every 10k-15k miles. I have had other BF Goodrich tires that became unusable at the expected 50k/60k miles - such as the All Terrains style ones I had on my Ford Ranger in the 1990s/early 2000s. Part of that my have been due to my not knowing how to check for alignment issues and/or rotate the tires regularly. That being said, these tires surprise even my mechanic and mechanic-friends. I've started to look online to buy these again, thinking that I may want to pre-emptively replace them before any possible winter weather, but functionally there isn't any reason to do so immediately.
