Smooth and quiet

These tires have changed the way my 25 Crosstrek drives. I love how smooth and quiet my ride is now. Have not had a chance to test on wet roads yet. But I would certainly recommend these tires. I have always gone with Michelin on all of my vehicles and the Defender 2 did not disappoint.

Just bought our 3rd set.

After buying a 2011 Xterra Pro-4X that came with these tires, we were sold. Once those originals wore out (they had over 50k miles on them when we passed them along to a friend and bought new ones) they were promptly replaced with a new set of the same tire. I just ordered a set for my husband's Titan Pro-4x which we'd bought used and came with some Firestones. Those tires didn't perform nearly as well as the Rugged Trails do. Our 4x's will wear nothing else as long as these tires continue to be available. They ride well on pavement, but still provide the right amount of traction and grip needed when things get muddy, snowy or otherwise messy. They even handle well in heavy rain.. we practically drove the X through a rainstorm/tornado one day and never had an issue with hydroplaning or skidding. I recommend these to everyone with a four wheel drive.

I have had two sets of BF Goodrich tires on my SUV and they are the only tires I have gotten 100,000 mile on. Before I retired I averaged more that 44,000 miles per year on a set of tires. I have never had a blowout or road hazard problem with these tires. It is the best product for the money.

Poor mileage

I purchased a set in December of 2014 for my 2011 Ram 1500 4x4. Tires wore pretty evenly. The ride was comfortable and I had minimal road noise with them. They performed well on mostly road/highway miles, in dry conditions and some snow and rain. Some off-road but not much about 70/30. My complaint is the longevity of the tire. I was told my the dealer I would get around 50K out of the tire. I only got around 30K miles. I drive less then 12,000 miles a year and I rotated them regularly and never drove on a low tire. Very disappointed in the long term wear of the tire I didn't buy another set and probably never will. I think BF Goodrich has good tires, just not this one.

These tires are great! I use them for 65 miles everyday through the center of the Pennsylvania snowbelt. Great traction and I hardly ever use 4-wheel drive! I'm on my third set now and have averaged about 55,000 miles before replacing. I didn't like the way the new tread pattern looked but it has made a big improvement on snow covered road driving.

Excellent Choice for a 2500/3500 Ram

I have just over 71K miles on the original tires on my truck (2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab, 6.7L Cummins, Auto, 4x4). They ride extremely well, are quiet, excellent off road, they do their job, and they wear even with rotations done every 7500 miles. The tread life has more than exceeded my expectations. Around 45K miles I remember saying I have about 10K miles left on them--with approaching 20K miles beyond my initial assessment, I couldn't be happier with these tires. I will be purchasing these again right around 75K miles. Couldn't be happier with them! Thanks BFGoodrich!

These tires far surpassed my expectations in every way. I put over 75,000 miles on my first set towing a heavy horse trailer and occasional off-road driving, and the spare never touched the ground - and the tires still had miles to go. It doesn't get better than that.

Excellent wear on 2008 FJ Crusier

Stock tires on my 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser (6 speed manual all time 4x4). These tires aren't the best for off road (poor mud performance), but they did extremely well on road and for occasional off roading. At 52,000+ miles they are evenly worn with a few thousand left to go (my rotations weren't even consistant). I'm just now upgrading to a competitors M/T, but it was tuff deciding between BF Goodrich's M/T and the competions. The deciding factor was noise on road, looks, and reviews. After you have 50,000 on your 4x4, you're more likely to take it off road. These were great tires.

Good Quality

I used this tire on my '09 Honda Accord for years. The last set lasted 6+ years. I average 11,000-13,000 miles a year. Wore great and evenly with regular rotations and alignments. Now I'm getting them for my '18 Accord. I really like the quality of this tire.

Outstanding truck tires for AT4

I put the Defender LTX M/S 2 on my truck because I drive a lot of highway miles but still need some decent off road traction periodically. These tires have performed exceptionally well - dry pavement, wet, or snow covered, they get the job done! They ride well for a 10 ply tire and increased my mpg as well. Been a Michelin guy for 50 years and these Defender series further cemented why I ride on their tires.
