Belays split in tread on every tire

Drive lots of highway miles and every tire wore out the exact same, a goose egg split in the bands down the center of the tread. Front two gave out at 45000 in 2.5 years and the rears now just a 3 years and 50000... low grade tire for slightly higher price compared to off brand

Great tread life

The 2011 Ford F-250 I drive for work came gripped with a set of LT 265/70R17 Rugged Trails. As I sit with 77,489 miles on them today I will surely see 90,000 miles out of them. This truck weighs in at just under 10,000 pounds. I have had no issues with traction here in Oregon over snow or through heavy rains. I have had this set rotated only once, hard to find the time. Even wear regardless. The last set of Rugged Trails I had went 95,000 miles. This beats any other tire I have heard of in the same conditions.

I love my new tires

I love my tires. I was distressed because we had a flat tire in the high-speed lane. We were concerned about replacing it. We were blessed to find a great company that replaced all four. We got a front-end alignment. I feel like I'm driving atop of the line Cadillac. My Highlander has always been a great ride, but the tires have made it a dream, and they look great. Bravo

I want the Best for my Wife!

I replaced Goodyear tires on my wife’s Acura TLX with a set of Michelin Defender2’s. I also replaced the OE Firestone tires on my mother in law’s Jeep Compass with the Michelin Defender2 tires. My wife and Mother in law immediately told me that their vehicles ride way better, handles better, and it is more quiet in their vehicles. As for the design, I love the way Michele tires look on almost all vehicles. All I can say about the construction and materials is that the tires appear to be made well. I am 53 years old and have never had a Michelin tire let me down. So I trust Michelin enough to use their tires on my family’s vehicles. I bought my mother in law’s tires 7 months ago and my wife’s tires 8/12/2025

Great Tire!

My 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty 4x4 came with tires. I love them. No road noise, consistant wear across front and rear. I have 77,000 miles on them and could do about another 3k but the treads getting to the point where off road theres little grip and I need a front end alighment. I do about half my driving as towing and most as highway or rural roads, very little city. No problem tires.

Must have hit the lottery with my Rugged Trail T/A

I have read a lot of reviews on the Rugged Trail T/A tires, and to say the reviews are mixed is an understatement. To the point that I must have hit the lottery with the OEM tires that came on my F150 with HDPP. The size of my OEM tires is LT245/75R17 LRE. Apparently, these tires come in two different tread designs, but the design on mine is the "dog bone" design that the KO2's come in. I just ordered a set of KO2's to replace the OEM Rugged Trail's on my truck. I have 71,250 miles currently on my truck.

Love these tires!!!!

I have not had a new set of tires in quite some time, and I just bought a set for my Rav 4. Love the way they feel, the way they hug the road and feel so much safer. I don't recall ever purchasing Michelin brand before and wish I had for sure! Definitely can tell the difference. It will be the brand I pick and recommend from now on.

Excellent handling and quiet

With only 10,500 miles on our 2024 Honda CRV Sport Touring AWD Hybrid, we picked up a nail in a non-repairable spot (I spent 25+ years in automotive repair and tires so I know when I have to replace and not repair). Unfortunately it was going to take about a week to ge the same exact Michelin tire to replace this one, but my daughter has to leave to go back to college in the early morning. The option was to buy another set of tires and keep the 3 good ones. So that is what we did. The Michelin Defender 2 is a great tire with an 80,000 mile life expectancy. It handles well and provides a nice smooth and quiet ride. If there is one thing I cannot stand, it is a noisy ride on my car (looking in the direction of other major tire brands that sponsors variations of auto races and monster trucks). Back to these specific tires though, the handling is great and my daughter that drives this car even mentioned that she likes these tires better than the orignial ones that came on the car. The tires are responsive and flex the way they should to provide a smooth and quiet drive. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent tire.

38,000 miles and wore out

I have a set of BFG Rugged Trail T/As that came factory on my 2008 Ford F150 Fx4. They are a really great looking set of tires. They've been rotated at 6,000mi intervals during normal service and used for highway/city driving, but at 38,000 miles they are completely shot and all have significant weather cracking. I've had BFG tires before (for both truck and SUV) and have always gotten good wear and tread life, but not with these. Wasn't expecting to get 80,000+mi out of them, but certainly expected more than what I've gotten. Maybe I got a bad batch, but I'm highly disappointed to have to replace with so few miles given the care and use.

Pleased with my purchase

I bought a set of 4 to replace nearly 6 year old tires that were constantly losing air. I've using them for 3 months. At first they seemed overly responsive to the steering wheel, but I have adapted well to this, I think. I also drive an old Nissan pickup and the contrast is marked. The review I read in a national consumer journal was correct.
