These replaced a factory ...

These replaced a factory set of Michelin LTXs on my Honda Ridgeline. The Rugged Trails are not as elegant (increased road noise, looser handling) but the overall performance (comfort, directional control, braking, wet performance) is comparable. I do tow a travel trailer. They handle the load better than the LTXs but they do cause a little more wander on the road. I would not want to do daily commuting on these (noisy) but for overall truck utility, they are at a better price point and offer better value than the Michelin LTX.

These tires were on the ...

These tires were on the truck when I bought it so I didn't actually choose them. But being a fan of BFG, I was happy to have them. This winter has really put them to the test. The deep snow and ice has been more than these Long Trails can handle. A good all around tire but I'll get All-Terrain T/As next time.

More miles than any other tire

I have just reached 109,000 miles on the original set of LT265/70R17 rugged trail tires that came with my 2008 dodge truck. I firmly believe that I could stretch these another 5 or 6K however I spend a lot of time on gravel roads, farm ground, and mountains so the side walls have been beat up a bit. I have never written a product review but am so pleased with these tires I had to share. Even the Michelin dealer said "yea those rugged trails wear like iron". Thanks Goodrich for a great product.

These tires are utilized ...

These tires are utilized on the Offroad model since the Nissan XTerra is a vehicle which is produced for both venues - on and offroad. I have owned the vehicle since new, as were the tires. I have approximately 55,000 miles on these tires. I am pleased with their dependability, only issues would be during the winter months with ice. I would recommend these tires for any vehicle with 4wd. Should I need to replace them in the next 10k miles or so I would purchase the same BF Goodrich Rugged Trail tires..

Great Tire!

My 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty 4x4 came with tires. I love them. No road noise, consistant wear across front and rear. I have 77,000 miles on them and could do about another 3k but the treads getting to the point where off road theres little grip and I need a front end alighment. I do about half my driving as towing and most as highway or rural roads, very little city. No problem tires.

I HAD MICHELIN DEFENDER 2 FOR NINE YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS SO I REPLACED THEM WITH THE SAME BRAND. I was pleased with the longevity and the ride. I live where there's lots of snow, but it doesn't stop me from driving. THE DEFENDER 2 tires plowed through without slipping or spinning I'm pleased with my purchase.

Tire seems weak

I think this tire may not be sturdy enough for an F-250 Soprt Duty. This tire seems "squishy". The vehicle seems to float too much on smooth, high quality pavement, and worse on worn pavement. Since getting these tires installed, I can say they are quieter than a more rugged tire, but my gas mileage has also dropped 1.5 - 2.5 miles per gallon. I drive mostly on open highways and travel to a country farm frequently. 90% of the mileage is rural. Not much offroad, but the traction is adequate for my purposes. The tire description for this "Rugged Trail" tire says light duty, and I believe this should mean for trucks lighter than an F-250. Maybe the "Rugged Terrain" is a better match. I don't know what to do. I have less than 3,000 miles on them and do not want them for the long haul. The float in these tires make me wonder if there is a defect. My last set of BF Goodrich Rugger "Terrain" were great!

i will continue to buy these tires over and over again

I will continue to buy these tires over and over again. They came on our 2010 Xterra. I've driven 4x4's with various tires and these offered the best traction in snow and rain. I replaced them at 35000 miles with the same tire. Our 2014 Xterra also came with them I just replaced them again with the same tire. I am also considering changing the tires on my 2016 Silverado ( only 1300 miles) and putting on the Rugged Trail T/A They are THAT good. PS. I also have the Radial T/A on my 78 Z28 Camaro

These are the worst tires ...

These are the worst tires I've ever had on a vehicle. They came stock on my 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD. There is "0" traction in the snow, ice and wet roads with them. I am completely dissatisfied with the BFG Rugged Trail T/A. I have only 6K miles on my truck and want to take these tires off for a different tire, preferably a BFG AT KO. I work in an Auto Parts/4 Wheel Drive Store and would not recommend these tires to anyone. Although I would highly recommend the BFG AT KO's. They are a great tire! We sell a lot of them on a daily basis.

I've had two sets of these on my Tundra. Neither set have had any manufacturing defects. I have got about 50K from each set. After 40K, (this winter) they didnt do very well in the snow, even with a bit of tread left. I'm going to try my luck on a set of BF All Terrain's next.
