I really enjoy my lifetime Kokanee tandem kayak. If anything ever happens to it, I will buy another one.

The unit was delivered damaged with a hole in the bottom. Scrapes and gouges and smeared with grease.

I needed to get replacement seats and clips. Dany was quick to respond and had them shipped 2 days later!

my Kokanee kayak came without a rear handle. The rep I talked to was very helpful and is sending me a new handle for the rear of kayak!

We took our new Kokanee kayak Labor day weekend to Cocoa Beach Fla, We had a great time but after the 3rd trip out we notice it was very unstable and hard to control. we over turned it, then had to swim back to shore with it in tow. I opened the hatch and seen the hull was full of water. I drained it and double checked the seals and lid tightness. We took it out again and when we came back I check and it took on more water. I suspect it was leaking around the hatches. I took it back to the dealer and they are going to replace it. I will keep you informed.

I read a lot of reviews on different kayaks before deciding on this one. I'll give my two cents on the pros and cons of this model: Pro: it's big and stable. My wife and kids were jumping into the water and climbing back onto this kayak while I was in the rear seat and it never felt close to tipping. It will never win any races, but because of its mass once you get it moving it keeps moving and tracks better than expected. If you are looking for a stable swim platform/ touring kayak, this one can fit the bill. Cons: it's big and stable. Yes, this is both its best pro and con. This thing is big and heavy. It took my family of four to get it up onto the roof rack. If you are a competitive power lifter you'll have no problem with this thing, or if you have a location where you will be sliding it in and out of the water, but if you have to load it up onto a rack you better have some strong helpers. Overall it was a good choice for me, but I might have to trailer it at some point in the future. Mine came with one of the backrest buckles cracked, and with one call to Lifetime I had a new one in a couple of days, so their customer service is very good.

We've had this kayak for a few years and have really had some great times in salt and fresh water. Plenty of room for 3 plus our dog. I recently misplaced a screw-on cap for the internal storage area and sent a note to customer service asking for the best way to order that replacement part. Before I knew it, they replied and said the part was on the way to me, no charge! Excellent customer service. I am sure there is no guarantee that all parts will be handled the same, but this was a great example of service!

Bought last year and right away the cheap plastic seats buckle in the middle according to lifetime they do not have a upgrade or even recommend one the way the seat straps are you will have to modify the attachment to the kayak as i have not found a attachment like lifetime has on kayak so add more money to kayak to be able to use
