This TV backlight kit is definitely well worth the money (and it's not that much money!) I purchased the kit as a test run to see if I liked the idea. I liked it so much I decided to "upgrade" to the Phillips Hue version, only to realize that this kit at less than a 1/4 the price is 4x better than Phillips Hue version. My partner and I bought this to add ambient lighting to our entertainment area. Putting the strips behind our 55" TV was a bit of a challenge as the size of the strips meant having to plan how to bend the corner wires without them being visible when watching. They are the perfect size for our TV but I wish the corner wires were done a different way so the risk of showing behind the TV is less. We also had a difficult time properly calibrating the corners, and had to attempt multiple times before we could get the image just right for our TV. Sticking the orange squares onto the TV made us concerned about residue but that didn't really become an issue, thankfully. Aside from difficulty hiding the strip corners and the finicky camera process, it provided exactly the ambiance we were looking for when playing games or watching videos.

Not bad at all. I had generic lights before I got these high quality lights. Night and day difference. My only complaint is the app could be simplified. If i just want one color, or a theme of some sort, I have to go digging to change it. Not a deal breaker, but it could be intimidating for some folks.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. ?First impression, I like it. Took a little fiddling with to get my expected operation, & I'll probably adjust it more as I use it. Colors can be a little off, my whites show as blue, I'll mess with the saturation to try to correct this. But for the price I'm happy with my purchase so far.However be very careful with the calibration foams, they stick very well & gave me anxiety to pull off as I could see my screen reacting with swirls. I would recommend you use a small bit of masking tape instead to place them or even put them on the bezel & adjust as needed during your calibration to avoid possible screen damage.I have a 70in, I was able to apply the lights on all sides, not edge to edge, a few inches in, some distance gapping at the corners, & think it looks just fine when it's on, it reflects well on my wall behind.

It was easy to set up. The light strips has good adhesion and is staying put. I mixed up clockwise and counterclockwise so I had to fix that but otherwise it was easy-peasy, easier than I thought it would be. All together it took about 10 minutes to install and it works great.

Obviously got these for the video aspect but you can set to music, scene, prog your own colours and DIY as well. 3m tape more than adhesive enough for placement. Had an issue at first but govee quickly sorted it out. 5 star service.

It's been a very pleasant surprise how enjoyable, watching the TV is with all that light behind it changing colors, so what distracting it first, and then just becomes part of the scenery, I would highly recommend

The camera sensor doesn't stick to the TV for quite long. It gave up in a year. T2 technique looked promising. If the settings get messed up even a little, the light sensing takes a wrong turn. Colors don't match.

I love the idea of it . Just wish it would stay with the color changing but every now & again they don't change color as they should & only stay lit at white .
