It's more firm than we expected for a memory foam mattress, but we're dealing with it and we're all waking up without pain so it works.

I bought these beds for my boys and they love them!!! The only complaint is that the bottom sheets come off after a couple sleeps...easy to fix got sheet elastics.

This wpuld get 5 stars if it was actually a California king. We purchased this mattress tp replace our worn king amd it was smaller than our old mattress. A lot smaller. Comfort wise its great.
