I decided to replace all of my containers with these gorgeous (although pricey) containers. I mainly use them to store cold items in the refrigerator, but we do occasionally use them in the microwave. However, recently I noticed cracks in several of them! I take extremely good care of them. They are hand washed (never been in the dishwasher) and they have never been in the freezer. I bought them mainly for their appearance and the seal. Will not purchase again.

The Rubbermaid Brilliance Food Storage Container is great for storing stews, soups etc. I was very skeptical at first as I've tried a lot of different containers and they would leak. I've been using the same set for 4 years now and have to say that they have outlasted all of my other containers. I have been hand washing these since I got them and have not had any issues with them cracking. These do not stain or smell funky (even after storing kimchi). They are leakproof but I do not intentionally hold them upside down for long periods of time.
