Fantastic swing set; directions need improving

This will be the best swing set we purchase! It is really heavy duty and includes wonderful features, like the double slide, platform which is constructed for higher weights, super-fast, long slides and safe add-on items. My son, part of the assembly team, ordered an identical swing set the day after we assembled this one. The only pitfall would be the lack of written directions (too much reliance on small pictures.) Inability to discern how to position the holes in parts caused too much studying of the pictures and 2-3 assemble, disassemble and change, reassemble patterns. Everything actually goes together perfectly , but 4 adults spent a grueling day assembling this monster! Packaging of hardware and labeling it gets an A+ Our swing set arrived in beat up, soaked cardboard boxes, but I feel this falls on the shipper.

Best money ever spent!

This is the second play set we have purchased for our 3 girls. The first was a wooden play set and it was literally falling apart after 2 years. We can already tell that the Lifetime Primary play set is MUCH better quality. That, and we can't get our girls off of it!

Great Fun!

We bought this in mid-April and have had it installed for a couple months. My kids love it. There are so many fun things to do at the top of the slide. We keep chalk and matchbox cars up there for them. They are 4 and 1 and they will still be able to grow in to this using the climbing wall and the spider swing, etc. The double slide is great with 2 kids. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I ordered it when it was back ordered in mid-April... and the in stock date kept being pushed back. I had given them my money and they couldn't tell me when I would get my product. It finally shipped end of May. Their installers were kind of expensive, so we used our project manager (who was doing another yard project for us) and they charged a couple hundred less and had it done in one day!

Happy Daughter

When the delivery truck delivered the playset my daughter said "My playground is here. I am so happy right now." I record the video and showed the clip to everyone. They got good laugh out it. My husband and my brother take two days to assemble the playset together. After that my daughter started to play it right away. The only thing is that assembly direction is not clear and labeling of parts specific which my husband and my brother were confused on which parts is which, so they have to take the parts out and reassembled the parts until it look right from the picture. The other thing that I would like is that be able to switch the housing position because it only one direction.

Exceeds our expectations!

My husband and I just put this playset together this weekend. The entire process took roughly 8 hours (we split it into 2 days). I read the instructions and handed him pieces, while he screwed everything together. We are pretty handy people, but this was by far the best well instructed equipment that we have put together. The nuts/bolts coming separated by section was a lifesaver. Delivery was fast and efficient. The driver even put the pallet in our garage because it was raining. Thank you!

Great, but please include more hardware!

Just finished setting this up. It arrives in a large open style crate so be sure you have a spot for it. Setting up was a little time consuming, but not bad, hardest part is putting on the roof. You need two, ideally 3 people for this part. Love how sturdy it feels, and plan on getting some clear rustoleum for areas where screws rub the coating. My biggest complaint are the screws/hardware. A few became cross threaded and broke despite our efforts to align them perfectly. This was frustrating because they only provide the exact amount needed. So we had to pause the project and order more....not good when you have anxious kids with a half built swingset they can't play on.

Great all around swing set with corrosion issues if placed on grass.

I have had this swing set for 9 years now. For the most part the swing set has held up well. I have had an issue with rust on the poles due to my swing set residing in a grass lawn. Every single one of the poles that comes into contact with the grass has a rust ring about 2 inches above the bottom of the pole where the grass grows up around the plastic end cap. Over time those rings have broken through causing holes and finally integrity failure of the poles. I have contacted Lifetime and they have agreed to replace the poles for free even though we are outside of our warranty period. *** Suggestion *** If the end caps for the poles included a 3 or 4 inch plastic sleeve that went up the outside of the pole, that would allow the swing set to be placed on grass and would eliminate the rust caused by the grass growing up along side the pole over time. The plastic sleeve would insolate the metal pole from the grass, and the humidity it creates preserving it's integrity. The sleeve would need some drainage at the bottom so rain or other water that came in the top could flow out the bottom, so the pole isn't essentially sitting in a cup full of water.

5 years later and its totally rusted

We bought this playset almost 5 years. It has seen lots of play time but has rusted out. the rings, swings, lots of the joints and today the kids (6 yrs old, maybe 50lbs) were climbing up the stairs to the play house and the top stair broke! i just thought it would wear better in the FL weather

Hit of the neighborhood

We purchased this item about a month ago, and it has been in constant use from sun up until sun down. This product is sturdy, colorful, and we find it safe for kids from age 2 to 20+. It took a while to set it up, but worth the effort. We do not have it cemented into the ground, but, impressively, it doesn't move when the adults are swinging. The slides are of a material that doesn't get hot enough to burn the kids, which is great. Swings are easy to adjust and very safe. We love this product.

Gets kids outside

So worth the money to have a fun place for the kids to spend hours outside. Sometimes they're actively playing and sometimes they're just relaxing in the clubhouse. I love that is low maintenance. High quality so I'll have it for all my kids and years after they've outgrown it I plan on being able to have grandchildren use it.
