Good TV, lousy app and introduction to TV

Could not use the TV until I did the App. Would have been nice to know beforehand, would have avoided the TV though it seems to have very good picture quality. Took three tries and two. other devices to get the app installed. Then it kept telling me it could not connect to TV - which on the surface seems like a wireless issue, except the previous TV and. about 12 other different devices never had any issue with wireless. Now when I turn TV off it reverts to something of no value, so every time I turn it back on I have to go through input to get back to HDMI. And why is there such a big secret about the remote and the controls it has. Then there is the quick start guide that is next to worthless.

Great Television

Great picture outstanding OS with ease of use apps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve purchased other tv brands in past and I’ve had to resort to purchasing additional streaming devices / boxes; spending more money and time setting up and installing . I took a chance on this new Vizio and am amazed and sold. From the ease of use in menu selection, from available apps, customization, and speed of the apps, I feel like Vizio has the best on the market. Not to mention the tv picture quality that rivals TVs 3x’s the price. And no additional streaming boxes or devices! I couldn’t be happier with my new Vizio!

Great picture! Navigation horrible!

We hoped the app would help in navigating to find specific channels. It does not. The picture quality was great, which is why we purchased, but the remote, and the app, do not navigate to specific channels easily. This tv is set up more for streaming than watching antenna or satellite channels. We also have issues that with the app, or remote, the TV does not turn on to last channel watched all the time. It goes to the streaming home screen. Currently looking for something different.

Great TV Experience

We owned a Vision TV that we bought back in 2013 and hav had hanging in our living room ever since. Wife wanted to buy a new TV so we shopped around and landed on a great Black Friday deal for this new Vision TV. It now hangs where the old Vision was located in our living room. The picture is stunning. It is bright and vivid with no motion blur or artifacts. It upscales well when viewed from a normal distance. When viewed up close you can see the upscaling artifacts but no one is going to watch the TV sitting that close to it. I like the new Vision Home interface. It is a huge improvement over our old Vision and a later model that my parents owned. The OS comes with everything you need to view any content - live TV or any streaming service. It is very similar to my Fire Cube I sometimes forget which one I am using.

OMG! AWESOME PICTURE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this tv because our Samsung wasn't cutting it. From 20 feet away, our Vizio still has the most amazing picture and from every angle. The sound blew us away. I didn't know it was this great. I wish I had researched more. I wouldn't have bought the LG in out bedroom. I would have gone with another Vizio. We had them in the past. But wanted to try something new. Won't do that again. VIZIO ALL THE WAY !!

Great picture! No XFINTY app available?

Great TV! Picture is amazing! And I love the on screen menu, very quick and intuitive! Much better than my old Toshiba Fire TV. The only BIG downside was XFINTY STREAM APP IS NOT AVAILABLE! All my other apps were available, but nothing for XFINITY! That was very disappointing because that is my main provider! Please, VIZIO...can you do something about this?

Great TV but pixilation/distortion Issue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our new VIZIO Smart TV however, we're having pixilation/distortion issues when watching programs through the XFINITY 4K DVR. We never had an issue with our prior VIZIO Smart TV. We did everything to resolve the problem including new HDMI cable, internet cables, upgraded 4K DVR, etc. Both VIZIO and XFINITY Support can't resolve the issue. It sounds like it's more so an XFINITY problem, however we're not sure as it it never happened with our prior VIZIO Smart TV. Hope to get this resolved soon.

Cutting edge, almost perfection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this set 4, 5 weeks ago. Where is the manual? I know that you are trying to keep the costs down but, some of us experienced citizens like to have a grab and read manual. A good idea is to make a manual available for customers to order if they want one. I sure would order it. The mute button on the remote control is located in the wrong position. It is to easily tripped due to its location. It would be better of it was located on the upper left side of the remote.

So happy with our new Vizio!!!
