This is lots of salad. I eat lots of salad. It's fresh, and I doubt if you'd save much money, and zero time, if you bought all this stuff separately and made it yourself. It's put together for you; just throw a handful into a bowl, add extras and some dressing, and start eating. Lovely!

This was good, however some of the lettuce was a little wilty right when I opened it. However, it tasted fine and lasted a decent amount of time. Admittedly, I use Sam's pick up to get this and did not check the bag in the store as I normally would have, so I don't feel like I have a ton of room to complain...

This particular pack of salad I bought from Sam's Club has so far been above average. Very few ribs that other companies tend to overload their salads with spines and ribs that most people throw away. I know, I won't eat them, I shouldn't have to eat them and won't. That is the reason I stopped eating salads at Wendy's, big nasty chunks that had to be cut, a few times in order to eat it all.

It used to be where the bag would be vacuum packed really good and it would last longer but lately it’s been really loose and the lettuce change colors so quick. I wish they would go back to vacuuming packet really good just lasted so much longer in the store right now if you buy it in the store, it already looks like it’s getting ready to turn

This salad is both good and priced right. I just wish we had a way of keeping it fresher longer. We can only eat so much salad at a time, but at the price of $2.38/bag, if half a bag gets discarded, it isn't a disaster. The stock in a Sam's cold room moves quickly, but there is no way to know how long a bag has been in transit or under what conditions. A savy shopper will look at each bag to see if the enzymatic browning, particularly on the iceberg lettuce, has become visible (it started as soon as the lettuce was harvested, hence the brown stem end, etc.) and at what stage it is in before selecting a particular bag. About 98% of bags are OK and are good to go as a rule.

My family eats salad several times each week so I was happy to see this large bag at a good price, but that happiness didn’t last long. This lettuce mix goes bad extremely quickly and I have tried many different things to try to keep it fresh. I can buy the Garden Mix from Aldi and it will last for three weeks without going bad. The Garden Mix from Sam’s is a good example that sometimes a bargain still isn’t a good deal.

You can’t beat the price on this big bag of lettuce. But you have to eat it pretty quickly or it will go bad. So when I buy this for my husband and I we eat it for two or three days and then we’re done. We make a really big salads That are our main meal. The price is excellent for a bag of lettuce, already separated, cleaned and ready to eat.

The only reason I purchased this item was because it said it was pre-washed online. This was a club pickup.When I got it home I read the bag searched and searched but it did not say it was pre-washed. The salad mix went into the trash. Maybe there was a mix-up and Sam's Club received the wrong salad mix. I'll try one more time.

I tried the 2lbs shredded lettuce package for a couple of weeks but between my wife and I we simply could not finish all 2 lbs before it started to spoil. The 2lbs Garden Salad is better in that it lasts a few days longer but it doesn't go in my low-carb burritos as well. It is a good product and for a restaurant or food service group it would be great. It is just too much for two people on diets. We have gone back to 1lb bags from Walmart. Same quality but easier to manage for the two of us.

I love salads, but I was making mine by chopping up heads of lettuce. I tried this to see if the flavor was better and it was. I eat about 5 large salads or more a week with my new diet and this bag lasts long enough to get a lot of salads for the price. The first time I bought this, I had some of it go bad in the fridge because I wasn't eating it fast enough. I also started using it on sandwiches too.
