The cover is not removable.  I unzipped it and there was one section of foam to remove from the very bottom, but the rest of it is stuffed with piles of a synthetic hair like material that would be all over everywhere if you try to remove the cover, it is definitely not any type of solid material/cushion that can be easily removed.  When this bed reaches the point it needs needs washing or needs to be thrown out it will be thrown out.

I have allergies, and 3 dogs (I know, I'm crazy) so keeping things clean is a priority in my home. The biggest downfall of these bed is although the bottom removes, the sides are filled with material (think fabric equivalent to Easter basket grass) and its loose. 
I just brought 4 of the beds to a laundromat for cleaning and only 2 came out usable because all the stuffing came out. 
Serta should consider making those bolsters covered so that stuffing can be removed as well.

please being this back. this is the absolute best dog bed.

The bed itself is probably fine if you buy it from a reputable place but we’ve had nothing but problems trying to get it to us from  Sam’s Club.  The first time they charged us but didn’t deliver it. The second time it was delivered but it arrived wet and smelly.

Smells like mold

I recent purchased the Serta Perfect Sleeper Orthopedic Cuddler Pet Bed for my English Labrador Retriever. I took the bed I had in her cage and replaced with the Serta. We never make her sleep in her cage, she has free reign of the house. During the day, I found her sleeping in her cage on the bed. I have to conclude that it is very comfortable for her. She is now sleeping there instead of the couch or chair. She loves using the sides as a pillow. If I knew she would have enjoyed the bed so much I would have purchased two so she would have had one to sleep in, in the family room when we were there. It is a excellent product! I am very pleased with the bed and so is Raven!
