I just bought this generator and the need is now over. However, it has all of the features I needed when Hurricane Milton hit. It appears to be in good working order and the company has been great to work with at this point as well. I will post another review once I use it which based on the weather pattern is Florida, will create the need again soon.

My wife and I decided to invest in a generator after the most recent storm and sustained power outage. We've grown tired of emptying fridges and freezers and other inconveniences that go along with extended power outages. We haven't had the chance to use it in that situation yet, but after extensive research and discussions with some electrician friends, I'm hope for the best with this. We decided to go bigger on the size to eliminate taxing the generator and the electric motors/pumps of the various things we intend to run. It's a nice generator with real nice features. The build quality looks and feels solid and despite it's weight, its easy to maneuver around and believe me when I say that I'm not in the best of shape. I am hopeful my family will get years of service from this thing.

I have been searching for a portable generator with enough power to supply everything in my rural home during our frequent power outages. This brand and model listed all the specifications in an easy to read format and the reviews were positive. I never thought I would say I can't wait for the power to go out but this unit will make it a 'non-event'.

This is the third WGen generator I have purchased. I love the fit and finish and the WGen20000c seems to be the best so far. Unfortunately, during my first use of the generator there was a transient power draw somewhere inside the generator which took it down. I am hopeful that Westinghouse can make this good and I can upgrade my overall rating!

Right out of box would not run I have 30 yrs small engine mechanics so I found spark Fuel to carburetor but wasn't going through removed bottom shut off and it was gummed up from gas sitting from factory cleaned rest of carburetor internals and put back together runs fine now

I have already used this generator during a power outage. Enough capacity to power refrigerator, stove top, microwave, freezer, hot water heater, and several plugs and lamps. Easy to start. One feature I wish it had is a backup pull cord start. So keeping battery charged for electric start is important.

I live in Southeast Texas so dealing with hurricanes is something that folks around here just learn to do. I've had a 5500 watt generator for years, that worked just fine in a pinch to run fridges and freezers, a few lights and a window unit, but with that came extension cords ran throughout the house and only one room that was comfortable. After the derecho winds that hit us this year and then Hurricane Beryl, each causing power outages that lasted a week, I was fed up with dragging extension cords and having to choose what was going to be powered and what wasn't. I really wanted the 20 kw tri-fuel but since they are still not available, I opted for the 14.5 kw Westinghouse. Ordered it in September and got the good news last week that it was being shipped, got it this morning, 11/1/24, put the tires on, added oil, hooked up the natural gas hose and let her rip. Ran it in for about an hour with no load. I had previously wired in two breakers (50 and 30 amp) to feed the breaker panel. Shut off the incoming power from the lines and connected the cords. Had also previously installed a soft starter on my 5 ton HVAC unit. That piece alone dropped my LRA on the compressor from 107 amps to about 29 amps during startup. Normal running amps is around 7. Anyway, I was able to power the entire house including AC and pool pump. The only item I didn't try was the electric dryer. Worse case, I'll just make sure the pool pump is off before running the dryer. All-in-all, very pleased with my purchase. With my luck, I'll never lose power again but am ready if I do. This generator is great! It had exactly what I needed. It can run both 50 Amp at the same time. Wish it had better fuel efficiency but it can make the power. There is a power saving mode in it which I like. It's not as quiet as you would like but that feature help when you turn it on. If you are getting it on a palette, make sure you can get off with out hurting yourself.

I bought this after hurricane Helene to replace a 20+ year old Coleman 6250. I wanted one big enough to run my whole house, well and central air conditioner so I wouldn't have to switch stuff on and off which is fine for a dot or two but when you're without power for weeks that gets old quickly. Hope this one last like my Coleman has and it's nice that this Westinghouse has a 3 year warranty.

Generator is strong and works for the application that we use it for. Handles a surge well. Only problem that I have encountered is the oil sensor has some issues. I check the oil everyday that the machine is used and unplugged the oil sensor and have had "0" issues.
