I just received this today. I was able to unbox and set it up in about 45 minutes, could have gone a little faster as it was an easy assembly. Did put the battery in first from a previous review I read and that did help in my opinion before putting the wheels on. Now here is where I am VERY happy. Started right up, and once it throttled down, very easy on the ears! Good looking powerful unit, after that last storm where my other brand didn't live up to the challenge, I am confident this will. One of the KEY features that made me go with this was the less than 5% THD. Last power outage I had some serious issues with some of the electronics that run our 400 gallon Salt water reef tank. Between that and the AMPS it puts out and all my research this was one on the biggest I could find with staying portable.

Bought this as a backup for the entire house. The two 240V outputs (one 50A and the other 30A) are perfect for connecting to my two panels. The output is enough to allow me to use pretty much everything in the house, well pump, sewer pump, AC/heat pumps, gas water heater and furnace, washer/dryer, as well as the typical items like lights, computers, stove and microwave. On the wish list side, it'd be nice to be quieter and have a lower THD.

I just purchased the WGEN12000. I had an electrician hook up everything needed to connect it to my home and it ran everything in my house, even my 5ton AC after the electrician installed a soft-starter on my AC. Ran everything without a hiccup. The remote starter is great. ONLY thing is you have to have the battery switch on the generator turned on. I'm guessing you shouldn't leave the battery switch on or it will drain the battery. Will it drain it if left on? Don't know yet.

I bought it a year ago, I only used it 4 times for around 30 to 40 minutes, 5 months ago the battery was completely discharged, 2 days ago it happened again, I charged the battery but the motor tries to start and stops, I can't make it start, I've already checked everything, oil, battery, gasoline, connections, everything the manual advised me to do. I'm going to try technical support through the Westinghouse website, because it's impossible to reach anyone by phone.

It took to long to arrive, almost a year, but it works amazing, its very powerful. Mine was leaking some oil after couple of hours working but we are going to take it to a certified place to check it out. besides that everything else works fine. And I also like that its very easy to use.

I just got this and after lots of research I'm happy with its features, power and maneuverability. It feels sturdy and well designed. Its <5 THD reassures me that it wont hurt my sensitive electronics. I'm hoping this will prove itself over time. I haven't put it in service yet. But I can't wait.

We bought this as it had many great reviews. The shipping was great, no hassle. We were able to pickup the generator at our local shipping transportation because our roads were posted for winter. The generator was well packaged and came with more than we expected. After the wheels were installed, it is a very easy pull around. We tested the remote from inside the house and worked perfectly. We have since discovered quite a few others on our road and at work have the same generator and love it.

I purchased the basic wgen9500 without dual fuels or CO sensor. Unfortunately certain states are mandating the CO sensors. From my experience, if the wind blows the wrong way, the CO sensor is designed to shut off the generator due to the increase in CO. Get the basic unit while you still can!

Due to fires in the recent years our power company might be turning power off in the future to prevent fires on hot windy days. Since the outages can last for several days we decided to get a generator to make sure we have power for all the essentials that we need. It turns out that the WGen12000 can easily cover what we need. We've tested it several time over the summer and it is easy to use and works great. We hope we never have to really use it - but we're glad we got it.

I am reviewing this unit after running it for the first time for 20 minutes. Install and initial startup was easy except access to one of the bolts on the battery retaining bar was difficult because it is behind the wheel. Love the clean power that it can produce with low harmonics. My whole house transfer switch will be installed in a few weeks. Will update this review once I have used the unit for real.
