This thing is a beast!
Initial review is this is a beast. If your looking for a roll into your truck and go, this is not the one. It's heavy and huge! With that said, ran it for the initial run in period with my 30ft travel trailer as the load, AC on and everything else electric I could turn on and it didn't even blink. Startup of this generator was as easy as checking oil, adding gas and pressing the start button. I haven't seen the problems others have whined about. If I do ill update at a later time. Follow the instructions, which are easy to follow, and you are good to go. The only thing I did find noticeable is it is a tad on the louder site, but it is a V twin engine and again high in watts and amps so to be expected. When the power goes out to the house, don't particularly care as it's outside.
Nothing But Problems
We bought this generator to run a food truck. It starts great, but turns off on its own every 5-20 minutes. We have done all of the troubleshooting and nothing helps. It is very frustrating. Also, it is very loud. The power is great, but that doesn't help much if it won't stay running.

No Sound!!!!!
Hopefully, I will change my mind soon. As of now, my brand-new WGen20000 will not start. Not even a sound. Followed the starting directions. Battery charged, plenty of fuel and oil. Pushed the button with no sound. I've got a big job that requires this size machine, and I will not be ready because of this issue. Received the machine with the box already open with parts missing. Right now, it just seems like a bad expensive purchase. Does anybody have any suggestions?

This generator runs my entire house!
After two long power outages this year it was time to invest in a whole house generator. I did my homework and ultimately decided on the WGen12000. The generator was delivered very well packaged secured on a solid pallet. Assembling the generator was fast and simple. Note: Hooking up battery required removing it from its perch. Assembling the necessary components and filling up the oil took a half hour. The included battery came fully charged and the generator started on the second attempt. Since that first starting it fires up immediately. It is loud. It is heavy! It is easy to move, however. The wheels are stout and the collapsible handles enable moving the generator pretty easy. My house is large and located well off the beaten path. The submersable well and a/c system operate just fine while being powered by this WGen12000. Because it is portable, I'm comfortable knowing it's protected from the environment when I'm not operating it. I've operated it for several hours (over 22) and have used only 13.5 gallons of fuel. The digital readout panel is a must. So far I'm very happy!
Big enough for the house
This was the largest portable generator I could find (12,000/15,000 running/peak watts) to run my house during power outtages. It will power everything except my 3-ton A/C and the wife's hair dryer. : ) Everything I looked at that was larger was non-portable (and a lot more expensive). Pros: * Extra long handles and large wheels makes for easy moving/positioning. * Handles fold down for efficient storage. * Remote push-button starter really helps the Mrs. get it going when I'm away. * Transfer-switch ready plug made it super easy to connect to house transfer box. * Cost of generator vs. power produced is hard to beat. * 3-Year warranty out of the box. Cons: * It's loud, especially when running in the early evenings. I wish there was an option to install a quieter muffler and/or longer exhaust pipe to direct the noise up and out. * Made in China. We'll see how well it stands up over time.
Garage generator
Garbage electronics. Too complicated and too much to go wrong. Took first generator to be repaired and the repair shop had a heck of a time getting any contact with the company. Finally after 3 months of phone calls and emails. They sent me a replacement generator with no serial number so I'll have fun selling this piece of crap that is doing the same thing the first one did by cranking but not starting. Just cranks until the battery cable melts

Best investment I've made!!
This has been one of the best investments I've made so far!!! The wgen 12000 has out performed every job and tasks ive had. Lately with the power outages we have had, our Westinghouse generator has kept my family with power and as well as some of the neighbors around us keeping them warm and the appliances going Thank you Westinghouse!! Truly yours, From the Thompson family
Powers almost everything
I had to wait a long time to find one of these in stock, but eventually received one a week ago. The (large) box was placed in my garage by the delivery company. Assembly was easy sitting on it's wooden pallet. Getting it off the pallet is a different proposition. Be sure that you appreciate how heavy 600lbs really is. You need something capable of lifting that. At the limit, four reasonably strong men could probably take a corner each and lift it while someone pulled the pallet out from beneath it. I used the front loader on my tractor with the bucket removed. The weight is the only negative so far, but I knew that when I bought it. On the topic of weight, I would be very reluctant to try to move this down any sort of hill/slope by hand. I initially put just over a gallon of gas in the tank. It wasn't enough. Given the size of the tank, I wasn't surprised. Added 5 gallons more, and it started with no problem. Is it noisy? Well, any generator that runs at 3600 RPM is going to be noisy, but I have a 6kw generator that I have been using to power essential items, such as freezer, water pump, family room lights, microwave, kettle etc. This is, subjectively, no noisier. It is obviously a different sound, twin cylinder vs single, large cooling fan etc. But placed in the same location where I used the old generator, with the doors closed, it is practically inaudible, as was it's predecessor. Adding a second socket to power the rest of the circuits I was able to power the entire house and run different appliances, water heater, etc. I also tried out the AC, which fired up ok. I don't dare switch it into heat-pump mode though, it has twin 20kw heat strips, and my thermostat is a little too liberal with their use, and there is no way to disable them. One comment on using the less expensive 50A plastic covered cables. I tried them out in 65°F weather, and even at that temperature, they are very stiff. Mine also have right angled plugs rather than straight which makes plugging them into the generator difficult unless you do it right. The wheel gets in the way if you try to plug in directly. The trick is to lay the cable behind the wheel and plug in the front/leftmost first, then lay the next on top of that and plug in the second. It's easy this way (see the attached photo). Alternatively, pay a lot more for rubber covered cables and/or find cables with straight plugs rather than right angled. It's also worth noting that the plastic covered cables become MUCH more flexible when they are warm, so you might consider storing them indoors rather than next to the generator.
Nice Generator
Bought the unit in April 2022. Arrived well packaged on a small wood pallet. Easy to open and remove using provide moving handles. Setup and operating instructions were easy to follow. All parts, lube oil, accessories were provided. Tooe less than 30 minutes for assembly and readying for startup. Battery needed some charging before use, with provided charger. No issues. Startup was easy and immediate with FOB or start button. All readings were a go. Haven't yet used it but all appears in order. Nice generator. Control panel well laid out and functional. Would recommend to others based on what I've seen thus far.
Excellent features and extremely powerful
I was looking for a gasoline powered generator that had enough power to run my whole house as I do not have access to natural gas where I live.I was pleased to find out that the initial setup was a breeze and when it started on the first try I was very pleased, for a huge generator I was quite pleased that it was actually quieter than the General I had at my previous residence.
