Had to go over the same spot several times to ensure the carpet was clean. This machine is about average of the ability to clean dog fur, for the price and hype this company should have made sure that this very expensive vacuum is better then a medium quality off brand machine. Nice and quiet, lightweight, cord is too short. Very upset that Bissell is now having a valentines sales and this is one of the vacuums that is excluded - really Bissell, you had to be this cheap

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my sweeper about a month and have used it every week. I'm very happy with it. The videos really helped with assembly. It wasn't difficult to put together but the video made it much easier. It is definitely lighter than my old sweeper. It picks up alot - especially after the 4 legged kids! I love the handle is the hose attachment and I can reach high with it. The cord is long enough but I would prefer the cord storage being higher instead of having to bend over to wrap it. The light is great especially on non-carpeted flooring! The canister took a little bit of time to figure reattachment but I'm fine with it now. And it does a great job of recognizing the surface whether carpet or non-carpet. Extremely happy with my purchase!

I was excited about it because not only do I have a large dog who sheds a LOT, but I also have carpet, hardwood and tile in my home. The set up process was a little tricky and I had to watch a few YouTube videos to figure how to get the seal just right. My favorite part is definitely how it senses what type of flooring it is on. It saved me a lot of time. It also does a great job and empties pretty easily. I found the turning radius to be a little stiff, but otherwise, it is great for people with pets and different flooring surfaces!

My Husky's crate is the largest size and is located in the corner of my office, due to it being in the corner I always struggle to get the dog hair from behind the crate. The long wand attachment that it brought was thin enough to fit between the crate and the wall but it still had the suction power to get it all out without me having to struggle and move the crate. I love how easy it was to empty the bin out and how long the cord was. The only down side to the vacuum is that it doesn't let you bend it more than 45 degree angle before the bottom lifts from the floor. Which has made it hard to go beneath furniture without having to move everything.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this vacuum for about two years now and it replaced my old Dyson. We moved to a house with ceramic tile floors and I needed something that would work well with these floors. I also have two golden retrievers and one of them is an English Cream. Those dogs shed like crazy and within two days my floors are completely covered in white hair and hair balls. Thankfully this vacuum has worked beautifully at picking up all of the hair and easily transitions from ceramic floors to area rugs with ease. I love the light at the front of the vacuum, it helps me see all of the hair on the floor. The only drawback is that the cord comes out of the bottom and I wish it was higher up on the machine. Other than that, everything else is pretty great and I would recommend this to anyone who has dogs that shed.

We previously only used a stick vacuum, but were quite surprised the first time we used this product. The amount of dirt in the canister was impressive despite weekly use of our other vacuum. This vacuum comes together quick right out of the box and attachments are easy to swap out. The vacuum maneuvers easily on carpeted and bare floors. The canister empties quickly, making clean up a breeze. Our carpets were left with that classic stripe appearance, which is exactly how we like them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this vacuum to replace a VERY popular brand that I've had for a very long time (15+ years) That vac was so old they no longer had parts for it! so considering we have area rug, laminate and vinyl floors I decided to try this floor sense model. So here it is. The suction is amazing and with the power head brush, my carpets are virtually pet hair free! Now, I have 18 feline fur babies (that is not a type-0)all indoors. With that we have 9 huge litter boxes placed strategically throughout the house. That being said, clean-up is an everyday chore. This vacuum gets everything up! No scatter of the litter pieces and it gets right up to the floor trim and carpet edges. The headlight is a great feature, even though I thought it was weird at first but I illuminates all of the debris so I don't miss anything! After about a few weeks of use I gave it a total cleaning as litter makes a lot of internal dust. Taking everything apart was so easy. I washed all of the parts and reassembled them with zero issues. And, I even ran over a hair ball on the carpet and had to completely disassemble the power head brush etc. That was super fast and easy as well.( I did get a replacement brush roll so I could continue to clean after that mishap) Anyway, I am so happy with this vacuum! There are a few cons however but the only one that I can say is an issue are the tools. The oval brush should be rectangular, and the crevice tool could have a brush at the end and maybe be thinner but my old attachments fit. The cord could be longer but that's a nominal issue. The hose could also be longer. When I use the attachments the vac wants to tip over (but so did my old vac) and really, what I need from this vacuum I have. Super easy to clean and maintain, superior suction, easy to maneuver around furniture, it's quite and lightweight. One thing I would ask of Bissell, could you make a tool with extension wand for floors that is flat enough to go under beds and other furniture??

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this vacuum from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I would give this standard pet vacuum a solid 7/10. I really liked the suction power it had and that it came pretty much assembled in the box. It was very easy to set up and use the first time. I liked the color scheme, muted tones nothing too bright. I have three cats and two kids running around all day so this vacuum really needed to go to work! I ran the vacuum in my living room and collected a good amount of lint/hair & crumbs. My issue was that I ran my own vacuum that is higher in price point and it was able to pick up more lint and dirt. I liked the attachments that were included which are typically the same ones included with every vacuum except the crevice tool had a light which I really enjoyed!! The vacuum wasn't able to go under low couches and my bed like my flat vacuum couldn't so that was a negative. I also didn't like that it had a cord and the cord wasn't retractable which would've made it easier. The dispenser was easy to empty and click back into place. One thing that was different and probably not a great feature is that you need to detach the hose/handle to use the tools but also had to drag the main piece (which was heavy) around as you're trying to use the tools one handed, it was cumbersome. I think I'll use it as an everyday quick clean vacuum but I don't think I'd reach for it when I need to really deep clean.

I have 2 small children and a long haired dog, so we are vacuuming our home almost every day. We have an even mix of flooring in my home, and I've been used to transitioning between my upright vacuum and a stick vacuum depending on what floor I'm cleaning at the time. The Surface sense allows me to clean all of my floors with just one vacuum. It senses the floor, and transitions easily from bare floor to plush carpet so I can go to different rooms and hallways without switching vacuums. On bare floor, it suctions everything up without just moving dirt and debris around and has been great for removing dog hair from carpet and furniture without getting tangled in the brush roll. This vacuum is easy to empty and lightweight which makes it easy to maneuver and take up and down stairs. Getting dog hair out of our carpeted stairs was once a tedious chore, but the Turbo Eraser attachment has helped me to quickly clean and remove the hair with ease. My favorite feature is the lighted crevice tool that helps me get in between couch cushions, around the edges of furniture and the edge of the carpet by the baseboards. The only thing I would change is on the base of the vacuum. It is wide, but hard to run along edges and baseboards to know that I'm getting all of the hair and dirt along those edges. Overall, this vacuum is great to have to clean up after pets and families and truly know that both carpets and bare floors are clean.

This vacuum was great for cleaning every flooring surface in our home. We have tile, carpet, and area rugs throughout our home. The vacuum automatically sensed the different types of flooring & adjusted accordingly. You can feel and hear the difference as you moved throughout the house. The vacuum is easy to move around the house. It looks sort of bulky but it glides so surprisingly smoothly, especially on tile floors. The tangle-free brush lives up to its name as well. My favorite feature of this vacuum is definitely the surface sense. My old vacuum had to manually be adjusted for different surfaces. This glides so easily from one surface to another and does a great job even picking fine dog hair out of our area rugs and the couch. I think other pet owners would be pleased as well. The only negatives are that it doesn't have a retractable cord. At this price point, I don't think that's a crazy feature to ask for. And it's bulky for the stairs. It would be nice if the canister and hose could separate to use as a smaller vacuum for things like that.
