Was easy to put together but screws were confusing so I watched a video on how to put it together. That helped. It's great house once you get it together the right way. I put heating pad in and was concerned it would get messed with. You have to watch them few times make sure they don't mess with heating pad. But I was glad it was made out of hard plastic. My great Pyrenees loves it. It's a plus for me

I have not had this dog house very long but my first impression is that it is of high quality. Certainly Sam's Club had the best price by far. You should read the assembly instructions entirely beforehand, especially if you are not installing the heater, to save yourself some unnecessary steps. Assembly could have been a little better and instructions could have been a little more clear. I must say that it took very little time to assemble it, though. The door needs to have a mechanism to keep it open when desired. I am anxious to see how the plastic holds up in the sun and cold. For a tight, insulated dog house with a floor you can't beat the price. I expect it will be pretty much maintenance free as well.

I honestly can't say enough about this product and the brand's customer service. We first purchased 2 of these nearly a decade ago now and they are awesome in the California desert and now in the Colorado mountains. We first had a damaged door on one, well before they had a parts list to order spares and they shipped us one without any problem. We then moved to Colorado. Unfortunately in our travels we lost most of one and didn't have a roof for the other. I contacted the company and they replaced the floor and roof within 4 days of contact. Only had to pay shipping... I'm not saying that'll happen with everyone but it's fantastic that the stand behind their products so much and care about their customers. I've used their solar fans on both houses and plan to use the heater this winter for the snowy conditions.

We bought this for our dog just in case she had to be outside while we were away for more than 4 hours or so. It is 48"x31"x39" outside, 35"x24"x32" inside (I crawled in to measure) and the opening is 15 1/2"x18" and 12" off the ground to keep rain and snow from getting inside. It has plenty of room for a dog to stand up and turn around. If it gets dirty you just hose it off both inside and out. It is very light and easy to move as the insulation is small styrofoam beads sealed inside the walls. It is well constructed and would keep a dog warm in the winter if there was bedding inside and in the summer it would not be too hot.

I use this for rescued puppies at 5+ weeks old depending on their size. I installed an electric "Hound Heater" which keeps it nice and warm inside in all weather. I ran the cord through the wall of the dog house. The insulation is actually small balls of foam so once I cut a hole they went everwhere. I put some spray foam in hole and cut it again for the cord to go through. The puppies have chewed on the corners some but it is tough and they have not done much damage. I built a wood ramp that helps small puppies go in and out. Some litters immediatelly go in and out the door and ramp. Some (especially really small ones) take some practice and training. They figure it out quicker when it is freezing outside but I do have to be careful they are all in for the night. I don't usually put bedding in so that they won't soil the inside. They learn real quick to go outside.

We?re as happy as we could be with this product, we actually bought 3 houses with heating pads. Unfortunately one of the pads failed after 3 months so I recommend you order an extra pad for reserve, I noticed immediately of the failure because one of my dogs wouldn?t go inside his house, it was a very cold evening so I checked it out and sure indeed the pad was cold, just ordered another one and will return the failed product, hope it?s under warranty and be replaced, I am afraid the others may fail too, hope not, other than this incident they?re great houses, my dogs love them!!

We just brought home our 7 month old yellow lab puppy. Loved everything about this house. However, within 2 weeks, my pup was able to somehow chew a half dollar size hole in the interior wall and dug out a good bit of styrofoam bb’s. She also managed to get to the fan cord and chewed it in half. Bet it’s great for more settled dogs.

Easy to put together, looks nice and sturdy. Buy treats to teach your dog to use the “door”.
