Excellent choice for my style driving

absolutely the right choice for my style driving. haven't been able to check any MS features but no doubt in my mind I will be totally satisfied with them. on the road, quiet, smooth riding, just a hint of whine but nothing to be upset about when you can barely hear them.

15 Years & Will Never Buy Any Other Tire Type

The Defender LTX M/S2 tire has gotten me across the country, literally. It flawlessly handles snow, rain, mud, sand, gravel, asphalt, and everything in between, without compromising the quality and comfort of the ride. The noise is nonexistent in the cab of the SUV, even at high speeds.

Like the tires so far

Tires are very quiet and smooth running. Any increase or decrease in mileage is yet to be determined. I bought these for extra load rating for towing a 5th wheel trailer. I am at this time experiencing death wobble and I am hoping the tires are not a contributing factor as I only have 19,000 miles on the truck.

Riding on rocks
2 out of 5 stars review

Performance okay, ride is the worst.

First of all, the tire performance has been pretty good in all sorts of weather conditions. At times I've experienced light hydroplane issues on my 2017 F-150 2x4 XLT SuperCrew. My biggest issue, and why I despite these tires is the ride. After maybe 9 on the of running them, the ride degraded quickly. They ride like rocks, and every bump has the potential to send jarring shock waves down your rear end and back. It's really bad. I have had the truck checked, I've changed shocks and everything is fine. I'm now approaching time to replace and it's genuinely the worst ride I've had in my 40 years of trucks. I really don't understand this as I have always used Michelin as my top choice.

Love Love Love my Michelin Defenders

My truck was sold new with Bridgestone tires. I couldn't wait to get them off and get my Michelin Defenders put on. The ride is noticeably better. I'm a lifetime Michelin tire owner on all of my trucks. When I was 21 years old, I had a sidewall blowout with another brand of tires and was seriously injured. Ever since I've been using Michelin or Goodyear tires only. I prefer Michelins for my trucks, but Goodyear is equivalent in my estimation for passenger cars. The noise is less with Michelins and seem to last longer. Handling and traction are good.

Disappointed

I had the passenger Defenders on three SUVs and I couldn't have been happier with them. They did well in all conditions and lasted forever. I put the Defender LTX on my 2023 Tundra, replacing Nitto Ridge Grapplers that were ridiculous on the highway over any distance, and the Defender LTX exhibit higher than expected levels of noise and poor performance on wet roads. Price wasn't really a consideration if I got great tires, but these have been a disappointment.

NICE TO BE CONFIDENT

ALWAYS PREFER MICHELIN TIRES, TRADED OEM'S OUT AND NOW I HAVE REAL ROUND TIRES. VERY SMOOTH AND ENJOY THE IMPROVED HANDLING. A BIT HARD ON ROUGH ROADS BUT SMOOTH AS CAN BE ON THE GOOD ONES. LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING HOW THEY HANDLE AN UPCOMING ROAD TRIP THROUGH VARIES CONDITIONS.

Great tires. Pay now or pay later

Now on second year on ford f150 best tire I've found to date. Getting ready to purchase a set for our jeep gladiator. Third set I've owned first set had 90K on honda pilot. Now at 52K on ford still look new. Great in winter. I know they don't look like good snow tires. But they are the best

What a wonderful experience it is to be a Michelin customer, i highly recommend this brand of tires and the handling of my Defender LTS MS2 is truly unsurpassed, they make you feel that you are driving a new SUV. Absolutly no noise while driving a smooth ride. I am a happy customer.

I hope they'll be good eventually...

I purchased the tires Dec 27 2024 and when they finally arrived had them balanced and installed on January 31st 2025. Very bumpy ride quality after my OEM Goodyears with 88,000 km on them that still gave a very smooth ride. The shop tried to rebalance on Feb 24th and the ride quality is worse now and there's definetly something wrong. I think I'll like them once this is sorted out but lots of hassle and time wasted so far. I read such good reviews I was really expecting better. Also it was interesting these tires were made in Brazil. At this point I'll give the tires 2 stars not knowing if its a bad tire(s) or a bad install and balance. So with that said I want to like them but not yet.
