Love it when it works

I have had this robot for about 6 weeks now. I had a Shark before but it was a much cheaper model and it broke down constantly (ended up having it replaced twice!),....BUT I really liked it , so I purchased this better model. I am not impressed. Granted they get stuck on rugs a lot....but this one vacs everyday and the vent hole that the dust and animal hair gets sucked out through is constantly clogged. I get notifications every single day that tells me it is stuck or clogged or the there is a some dust on the wheels. I have never had to babysit a sweeper like this before! When it works..it works fabulous. But I have not had it run for more than 3 days in a row without it getting stuck or clogged. Sheesh!

Great in the beginning but then.......

We've had this robot vacuum for over a year now and it did what we needed it to up until recently. Mind you we live in a extremely dusty area and we are a high traffic home. I've kept up with maintenance on filters, brushes, emptying the bin and so forth. Just shortly before the one-year warranty expired I started experiencing issues with it not completing a vacuum run. It would only hit the perimeter of the room being sent to vacuum and miss the entire center completely. If I scheduled a run it would only clean for a short time before returning to base. I've even gone as far as trying to re-map the house and now it won't even do that...only maps for about 10 minutes before returning home missing three-quarters of the house. In addition it frequently gets stuck in the same spot every day on a cleaning run. You then have to track it down and free it. I realize this isn't the most extravagant robot out there but when you spend a few hundred dollars you expect your investment to last. It is no longer a tool that saves time doing a task but a tool that takes away time. Of course I don't expect it to completely do a deep clean but just to help maintain in between a heavy vacuum.

It was USED and FILTHY!

My NEW Shark robot vacuum just arrived. I opened the box, which was torn and obviously opened before, and was hit with the smell of dust and dirt. My new vacuum is VERY USED. Of course, they are out of stock at my "local" Sam's, which is an hour and a half away. Plus, I still get to drive there to return it.

Great vacuum!

For everyone struggling to connect it to Wi-fi, I had issues at first as well. Through researching online, the shark initially connects to the internet through your phone and can only connect to 2.4GHz frequency signals. Not a big deal if your router allows you to choose which frequency to connect to. A little more tricky if you have a router that automatically detects the optimum frequency for each device (mine!)....as most smartphones are going to connect to the 5GHz frequency. I had to go into my router's ip address advanced settings and manually turn off the 5GHz frequency to force my phone to connect to the 2.4. After that, the shark connected quickly, started its map run, and ran the first vacuum. Once it was connected, I had no issues turning my 5GHz frequency back on. I am very pleased with how well it cleaned my floors and love all the control features the app provides. This is going to be a great time saver! I am giving it 4 stars for the wi-fi difficulty as some won't be able to change those settings on their own, and because I can't attest to long-term durability yet.

Seems a little Cheaply made and runs a little loud

I had purchased the shark matrix self empty and robot and I've had it for about a month. I purchased it for my downstairs of my condo. I'm a little disappointed I should have taken it back. What I was disappointed with was how cheap the product is. It seems to make a lot of knocking noises when running gets a little confused even with the app designating a room to go to. And it is also a little loud. I also purchased for my upstairs the Bob's sweep dustin . It was on special at Sam's far superior product runs quiet and feels like a more expensive robot have had no troubles with it but I've only had it for two weeks.

Bought one at Sam’s. Had to take back. Would not blue tooth or WiFi but picked up excellent. So I take it back. Got another at Sam’s closes to me. I’m taking it back. Sounds like a thrash machine. Horrible an will not pick up. Sounds broken. I have red carpet an it won’t pick up even lent. The first one picked up great. The first one I could sleep an you couldn’t hear it run. The new one would wake the dead. Back to Sam’s tomorrow. Not buying another one. I wish now I had kept the first one. At lease it picked up fantastic an was quiet. If I could get it back I would an I would forget blue tooth an WiFi. It did as good of job as my big sweeper. The new one runs faster an I guess that is why it won’t pick up. The first one was slower an would suck the curtains off the wall. I wished i could go back to the other Sam’s. The back case that held the dust was of a little different make. Best one!!!
