The best gluten free cornbread I’ve ever had.

HARD TO FIND GLUTEN FREE MIXES THAT ARE CONVENIENT AND DELICIOUS, BUT THIS ONE IS BOTH. MOIST AND A DASH OF SWEETNESS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I have an allergy to gluten, and this gluten free cornbread mix is great! It's easy to prepare and bake. The resulting cornbread muffins are tasty, moist, and best of all, I don't notice any difference between them and a non gluten free muffin. I like them so much that I bought a case!

Forget GF (not really) this is hands down the best cornbread mix I've ever had/eaten. The non-celiac members of the family devour it. In fact, GF products are usually so expensive that I cook "regular" wheat-ingredient for everyone else, make a batch of GF for me and all are happy, but when I make this, everyone wants the GF version. Seriously, THE best I've ever had.

I don't always have everything on hand I need to make a gluten-free dinner side or just something I am hankering for. The boxed Honey Cornbread fils that spot nicely with great taste. Four stars because it's a bit on the dry side. But the flavor is just about perfect! Happy camper here. Once I tried it I bought a few more to keep in the pantry for those rainy days.

I've tried corn muffins with some wheat flour in them. I can eat one a day, or two every other day... but with this mix that is mostly cornmeal I can eat all I want. Still a lot of carbs, but it you put enough butter on them you'll end up with twice the fat calories as carbohydrate calories. That is important for me since my blood sugar gets high now and then. The sodium is the problem. With three pats of salted butter you've got about 15% of your recommended sodium in one muffin; 22% on a low sodium diet. Since being on a low sodium diet I've had heat exhaustion twice. Eating two of these with a pint of water is a good natural way to get my strength back.

Do not purchase this cornbread if you do not like sweet cornbread. This mix was WAY too sweet. The texture itself was kind of dense even for a gluten free product. The reviewers who added sugar or honey must like extremely sweet cornbread because this was already to sweet to even be enjoyable.

I'm celiac so this mix is a God send. Honestly, even if I didn't have to eat gluten free, I would still buy this mix. It's the best cornbread mix I've ever used. I add about a tablespoon of sugar to make it a true sweet-cornbread. The honey in the mix sweetens it, but not much so if you prefer a southern savory cornbread you'll love it just as it is. Also, it freezes well. I live alone, so I couldn't possibly eat it all in one or two days. I make it in a cupcake tin with liners and freeze most of them for later.

If you never want to purchase another brand of gluten free cornbread again you must buy this one. You will never go back. The cornbread has great flavor, it is super moist and is easy to mix up in no time at all. Another one of my favorite gluten free products!
