My son loves his new youth kayak. He is 7 and has never tried anything like this before but took to it instantly and shot off like a pro. He has never tipped. He feels safe and I do to. Love it. Lightweight. Easy to handle.

The reviews say the kayak holds up to 130 lbs but i would probably revise that to 110. More than that takes in too much water and hard to keep steady and above water level

Great beginner kayak for youth. Our grandsons loved it and padded around like experts! Adding a seat would put this over the top for value and ease of use.

This is a great kid kayak. I have a competitor from Pelican to compare it to. It is lighter. The drain plug works much better. It comes with a paddle wheras the Pelican didn't, but the Lifetime model also cost me nearly twice as much as the Pelican. That Pelican model wasn't available, and I had reservations about paying the extra money. Overall though, I have no regrets about this boat.

Surprised my 9 yr old granddaughter and she hasn'the stopped smiling. She absolutely loves having her own kayak. It was much nicer and larger than I thought it would be. It's sturdy but lightweight enough that she can carry it. And her mom likes the fact that when they are out with a large group of friends she sticks out like a sore thumb because of the neon orange color :) The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was because after I ordered it, I saw the exact one on Amazon for almost the same price that came with the oars AND the backrest. I didn't cancel this one and order the other was because she liked the orange color. So I spent roughly 40 dollars more to order the backrest, an oar leash and the bungee cords. It would be nice if they gave you the option to buy everything with it at purchase instead of shopping around but overall everyone is very pleased.

I bought the blue Youth Kayak as a birthday gift for my granddaughter that came with a blue paddle. She loves it and is perfect for her. My daughter bought a green and a pink one both of which came with a black paddle. This is not a problem but wanted to mention the paddle difference. Great product that will last a lifetime.

I bought two of these for my kids aged 6 and 9. They love them! We have taken them out twice and they are very stable and easy to use. Both kids can easily handle them and they seem very safe. Even I am able to use them (5ft 2 in and 125 pounds)! They are a bit short and unstable for me but Im pushing their weight and size limit. Even so they still float great. Lol I love that they easily fit in the back of my truck and I can take the kids to the beach and carry both by myself (the kids have to carry the paddles though). Overall very happy.

A good, safe, and sturdy kayak. After reading the comments I purchased the yellow one as that was the only boat that came with a back rest. Good solid and easily stored paddle came with it too. The only thing left to purchase was a life vest. My daughter loves it!

I got the blue one, it came with a paddle. I was very satisfied with the purchase. Works great for my children ages 7 and 10. My 7 year old even paddles down the river with his friend on it with him. Pull recommend for a recreational purpose, looks like it will hold up well.

These are the best little kayaks for kids. Our son (age 6) zips around on his, and now we have this pink one for our 4 year old daughter. She’s already getting the hang of paddling it and absolutely loves the colour. Even me, at 125 lbs, can paddle around with it, although I have to wear a bathing suit.
