Great Kayak for kids!

This is a great little boat, our 4year old is able to maneuver with just a few pointers. Ours came with the attachable seat but she prefers it without it attached. Paddle was much nicer than expected. This will be fun for years to come, very solid and stable

Easy to use!

The Wave Kayak is so easy to use, a kid could do it! Literally, my 6 year old brother-in-law LOVES this kayak and could spend hours at a time. With it's maneuverability and comfortable design, children are able to use it. (my brother-in-law is a pretty skinny, but average height 6 year old).

Awesome little kayak!

We finally bought one of these after always having to borrow my sisters because my son loved it so much. These are perfect for all aged kids...my 5 year old does great on it as does my 15 year old. Very sturdy and well built and the many fun color choices are always a hit!! Well done lifetime.

Back rest

I have two boys ages 7 and 8. They love these kayaks. To get the colors they wanted I had to order one kayak that was $107 and another that was $110. I figured a couple dollars wouldn't matter if they got the color they liked. When they came in one of the two included a adjustable back rest. Which is great, but neither one said that in the specs. I can't give one a back rest and not the other. Oh well. They quality of the Kayaks are great. Not very thin. And the paddles that comes with them are alot nicer and heavier than I thought they would be. I would recommend them for sure. We love them. My wife is 120 lbs and she got on one in the pool and did fine. I would purchase them again, but I don't think I'll have to. Kids will prob out grow them and I'll be able to resale them.

Great customer service support

I bought this a few weeks back and after our initial launch with the kids using it we were disappointed it took on and retained water inside, only then to realize the two needed top plugs were missing altogether, obviously a potential safety hazard. We contacted the company by email and explained what was needed and provided our model and serial number and were extremely pleased with the reply. Nearly immediately were had a + response and assurances the plugs would be sent, and within a few days they were received, installed in a matter of a minute, and we have full peace of mind. Great customer service, and the kids love using this fun (and now safe) product!

Youth Kayak

This is the second Wave kayak we've bought for our grandchildren. The first one was for our 5 year old granddaughter and now that her sister is 4, she's ready to have her own. The neighbor kids at the cabin have this same brand kayak and they all love them.

Surprisingly Impressed

My wife and I got this kayak for our oldest son for his ninth birthday and I have been surprisingly impressed with this product. I wanted to get him a kayak made out of a more durable and stronger material but those options were out of our price limit and were also too heavy for him. I was hesitant to go with a kayak made of plastic but the lightweight polyethylene has proved me wrong. My son has been kayaking four times so far this summer and the kayak still looks great. I like the feature at the front of the kayak for my son to put his feet into the grooves that are provided and allow him to grow into with a few groove options as he grows. I also liked the underside of the kayak because it has subtle fins and grooves to help home row in a straight line. I am also under the impression that the lightweight design allows him to go farther with each row because of the lack of drag. My opinion and initial impression has changed so much that I am seriously considering getting a lifetime kayak for myself for fishing.

Excellent kayak for children and small adults.

Friends of ours bought children's kayaks similar to these last year at Christmas for their two daughters. They had mentioned a few times how stable they were for the girls and how much they loved them. When browsing the online Walmart pages I noticed the Wave kayaks and decided to purchase two of them for my boys. We received them no problem and were shipped in plastic wrap to my door for FREE! Once we were able to get to the water with them I quickly realized that these things were going to be huge hits for the kids. My youngest son is very small (6 years old 34lbs) and his brother is 8 and is average size for his age. Both boys had absolutely no problem paddling and balancing on the kayaks. These are EXTREMELY stable compared to traditional kayaks. We went camping with our friends, and their daughters and our boys were all scooting around together on their kayaks. My oldest was able to jump off of his and climb back on fairly easily. Our friends kayaks are made by Pelican and I believe are called "solo" and if I was to choose based on looks, I think I would say that I prefer our friends kayaks although I do prefer the blue wave kayaks vs the yellow which is the color of the pelicans but that's is obviously just my opinion. I have seen the pelican kayaks priced slightly lower ($89) at the Canadian store with the big red triangle logo but only when they are on sale. I paid $94 for the wave. HOWEVER, I would buy the wave kayaks again if I had the choice. Simply because of the paddle. The pelicans come with no paddle and after purchasing the kayak you would have to buy one obviously, and they are not cheap! I looked at the price of them and for a decent paddle it was bordering on at least $50. The wave kayaks come with paddles and they are actually very good mid range kayak paddles. My buddy commented on how good the paddles were compared to his and he said his were $35 each I believe. They are built very sturdy out of aluminum and insulated with foam to make them float. The blades are plastic but are very sturdy. On another note, my wife is 5'4 and about 100-105 lbs and she found the kayaks very stable for her and she found she wasn't too big for them. She kayaked all week while camping with one of our two boys each time. I can see we will probably pick up another one so she can go with the boys together. In short, these youth kayaks are a FANTASTIC deal and are very durable. Not once did either son nor my wife ever come close to tipping the kayak. Same can be said for our friends kayaks as well but the wave kayaks are a much better bang for the buck due to the good quality paddles that come with them. You wont regret this purchase if you are trying to introduce your children to kayaking. Highly recommended!

Great "lil" pink kayak!!

Cute little "pepto" pink sit on top kayak.  My daughter is 9 & this is perfect for her.  It says up to 120 lbs.  Definitely made for a child.  The pink is super cute & the material is indestructible! It even came with a free black kayak paddle!  Great price & EXCEPTIONAL customer service rep Heather!!!!!! My daughter was thrilled as one of her Christmas gifts!!

I paid to much at Walmart

After I ordered this product, Two children's kayaks, I discovered they were 20% cheaper at Dunham Sports. Because I ordered them and they were on their way, I let the product come to us. They were very nice and they are well made. The kids loved them and had a blast in the water . I did pay $20.00 more plus shipping for each item but the shipping was only $8.00 total for the two. I did not have to go to the store and bring them home in the car as they are quite large.
