The fedex deliverer boasted this was his first boat delivery. I was very happy with this kayak . Gave it to my granddaughter for her eight birthday.she will use it lots at the cottage. She loves kayaking but needed a smaller one. The lifetime has many features the pelican and dolphin for kids do not have. Flat bottom allows standing, swimming and climbing back on. Overall quality much better.she will have years of enjoyment at the lake.

I received the kayak, it looks better than other one at CTC. No backrest arrived with it but after calling the company, i received it much earlier than expected. I was very surprised but happy and really did not think i would get it so soon. Now its just a matter of actually trying it out on the water to see how well it does! If i have no complaints from the kids using it, i may order another one a bit later! Thank you.

Bought two of these for my 6 year olds. More stable then I thought they would be. Kids maneuvered them very well. Perfect size for them to grow into. Paddles are a little big and heavy for them, but they still used them and got around. Would buy again. Shipping estimated 3 weeks for arrival, came in less then a week.

We bought this kayak for my son who is almost 5 years old (45 lbs) after seeing my nephew (5 yo; 55 lbs) kayaking in the same one. My four year old climbed right in it and started paddling like he had been doing it for years (his first time). He loves to carry his fishing pole with him and cast the pole while kayaking in the creek or family ponds. It never turns over on him but the boys did enjoy jumping off of it a time or two. I highly recommend this for kids ages 4-12 (under 120 lbs).

This is perfect for my son. It arrived 1 week sooner then we were told which was wonderful. He is 11 and will get a few years of use out of it. Took it out for the first time, was playing around and fell off it. Learned it was really easy to get back on by himself. Even fits inside my SUV, but I do plan on putting it on top. Very light so one person can lift to put on top of car.

This is our third one of these. We have two kids and actually gave one to a friend. these are more rigid than other models we've had, and also have the drain holes in the boat like our adult open water kayaks. We take them down the local gentle river, and they're perfect for the kids. I weigh about 150 lb, and it's tough to keep it balanced with me on it, on a lake, and will sink a little bit, but I can lay on it and do just fine. I'd say up to 120 or 130 lb

I first saw this kayak in the Walmart store, but it was the display item. So I went on line to order this for my 8 yr old. When ordering this kayak it came up on walmart.com at 119.00 and the store display was 114.00. Ok, well I wasn't going to worry about the $5 difference. Next I got to choose from yellow, which was the one I saw on display, or orange. I opted for orange as we have a couple adult yellow kayaks and though that the orange would be different. It arrived to my walmart store a day early - which is great. Perfect condition BUT be warned, the orange one DOES NOT come with a back rest. The yellow one does. Why? I don't know. Same exact kayak, same exact price between yellow or orange on website but no back rest. Not that it's an amazing addition but it's definitely worth having. Now it looks like (as of today anyways) that you can't even buy the yellow one on-line. Only orange. My Walmart store is wonderful and allowed me to exchange the orange one for the display yellow kayak. So I'm pretty happy. Just be warned.

Great kayak for children weighing 60 pounds or less! Our 50-pound grandson loves this kayak! Kayak tips easily if more than 60 pounds climbs aboard. The paddles that came with the kayak are awesome! The kayak tipped as soon as my 140-pounds climbed aboard; however, I did manage to balance on the kayak to keep from tipping.

I like the fact it can fit into my Jeep Liberty, just slightly going between the driver and passenger seat. Still much room in the Jeep for many other items. I am a 5'2" woman and it is fine for my size, though the hard plastic is quite uncomfortable and there is no seat. The double paddle leaks. I often prefer using a half or single paddle as it works just as well. I may use a fabric back brace next time and see if that assists with the comfort factor.

My kids each have one of these now and both are excellent quality. My 8 year old can paddle and maneuver like a champ and my 5 year old is well on her way. Both love this product. They are light enough for the kids to move on and out of the water themselves but my husband or I have to carry them down to the beach. An hour xcellent prive for an excellent product.
