[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have absolutely loved our Lifetime kayaks! We bought one for each member in our family. I love the Wave youth kayaks because they are very durable yet light enough for them to all be able to carry their own.

I actually don't own this item, but I have used my friends a few times. I love them and hope to be able to buy my own. The thing I love most about them is how easy they are to travel with. They fit easily in my suv, and they are so light, I could carry one with one hand and still haul other items to the beach. My kids (8, 11) could also carry them. Often kayaks look fun but are never used because they are so difficult to haul around.

I have two pink ones and one blue. i bought the blue just to pull behind me for carry my gear for kayak camping. the pink ones are for my daughters. My oldest took right off in this thing, like she knew what she was doing lol. very stable, glides across water and she loves it.

My 7-year old beginner kayaker hopped right on and started paddling like an old pro. His friend, who is more experienced, stood on his identical kayak and shook it back and forth without falling. The other mom said they are impossible to flip. Size: easy enough for an adult to carry under one arm. That's important because there's only one grab handle at the bow; none at the stern. There are two sets of molded foot braces. My son, who is 4'3", can't quite reach the first set if he is using the back rest. There is plenty of room for him to grow. There is no deck rigging or hatch, so the child can't carry his own gear. But there is a slot to rest the paddle toward the bow, though my son can't reach it himself. Though there aren't any bells or whistles, I'm pleased because it's very easy for my son to balance, even when his posture is incorrect. If he should manage to flip, the sit on top style will prevent any entanglement.

Good quality and the kids can easily navigate with the paddles. I was impressed how stable they appear to be and the kids haven't fallen off them even goofing around on them. The only downside is being flat and with holes in it that it's a challenge to stay dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my 5 year old and he loves it. He can cruise all around our local pond. He has even caught a fish from it. Would highly recommend. My wife is under the weight limit on it and she can ride in it as well just fine (see picture)

My kids love this kayak. It’s a nice option for my 6 and 9 year old. They are able to kayak well on their own. It’s pretty light weight too make it easy to get in and out of the water. My 9 year old can lift it by himself. I highly recommend getting it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 2 of these youth kayaks last summer and am SO glad I did! We have taken the kids out to the lake and they can't stop having fun on these awesome things! My 5,8, 10 & 12 year old kids enjoy them all day and don't want to come in. Cousins too. These are so easy to maneuver that my 5 year old does great! Best purchase ever! I'm sure we'll still be using these when we have grandkids. Lifetime products are awesome!

I had looked for years for any kayak, canoe, or sit upon that was light enough for me to carry and manage by myself. This is it ! It even fits sideways in the back seat of a midsize car. I use it all the time to go out paddling for exercise for an hour or so, on the days I don't walk or jog. Good movement for the tummy and arms. My only complaint is that it is designed with a 'scupper drain hole' (designed for safely I am sure so boat won't sink if kids take it out deep in a lake or the ocean ) which means you are sitting in 1/2" or more of water at all times, even if you splash no water in your boat. Thus I had to order waterproof paddling pants in order to do fall, winter, or spring paddling. Waterproof paddling pants cost as much as the boat ! Seriously. Waterproof rain suspenders can run up to $900! I am considering ordering the backrest too, but if I am out only an hour it's not too bad. Some of my friends have now bought, or plan to, buy one. I am 130 pounds. Also, the paddle is just great, I hope they don't substitute a cheaper one in the future.

Received the yellow and green kayaks for our 6 year old twins. They love them so much! I love that the kayaks are really meant to sit on the water, but still very stable. the paddles are great, we love the adjusting foot holds and overall very satisfied with this purchase! I can see the kids spending many many years using these kayaks!
