Warning: You may not love your kids enough to assemble this thing. Mine is going to be returned, so I suppose I don't. Full disclosure: I do love my kids. But after several attempts to get this thing together, I'm throwing in the towel. My main problems are with the cheap quality of the pieces (the thinner parts bend quite easily) and the abysmal way the pieces are labeled with their part numbers. The build quality was way cheaper than I expected from a Lifetime product. With two people trying to assemble the unit, the spans bent very, very easily near the points where they are secured together. This problem was exacerbated after disassembling the unit several times, because... The stickers with the part numbers for the spans are placed right where the spans rub together when you're assembling the unit. The stickers very quickly rub off, so that you can no longer read the part number. This makes it impossible to reassemble the unit, because there are at least two different part types that are completely indistinguishable from one another, so they cannot be identified without the part number. And so, we gave up. We own quite a few Lifetime products (tables, chairs, Wiggle Racers, an Airplane Teeter Totter, etc.), and we've never been this dissatisfied.

I was a bit afraid at the thought of putting this together myself - but it came together great, is VERY sturdy, my 5 year old AND my 17 year old both love this climber....and it can do double duty as a fort, the "jail" in games, a secret place, etc....the directions could be a bit more clear, but overall I actually put it together myself...and yes, I am a female. Putting it together with 2 people would be easier though :-) Great value, great toy, should provide fun for years to come - better than the typical swing/slide scenario.

The direction were so-so, not impossible to figure out, but some parts could have been a little clearer. Took my husband a couple of hours to put together. Once it was up, my 3 and 5 year old were all over it. My 10 year old even plays on it sometimes. Very sturdy. All three of my kids will play on it at the same time. My 3 year old likes to climb on EVERYTHING, and this gives him somewhere to do it without getting in trouble!

The dome is really good quality. Fairly easy for two people to put together. The only problem we have is that it is a little big for our tall 6 year old granddaughter. We had to put something next to it for her to stand on so that she could climb up on it. She will grow into it though and should get better at climbing it once she gets more confidant. She also needs some sneakers with good gripping soles or bare feet.

I'm thrilled with how this teeter totter turned out. My grandchildren love it. I was so glad to find an American made product, although the plastic parts are imported from China. All of the parts required for assembly were there in the box, it was all packaged so neatly. The instruction book was clear and easy-to-follow. The assembly time listed, if I remember correctly, was 2 hours on the website. And I think the box said one hour. Being a granny, I expected it to take me longer, it actually took me 5 hours. But I took my time, slowly and carefully, and only had to have five minutes worth of help from a relative. The reason for my 4-star rather than 5 rating is because a couple of the components were missing a small amount of paint, probably from being rubbed off in shipment.

I bought this climber for my five year old and it's just the right size. I would say it's perfect for small kids and up to about age 10. The quality of this prodect seems good for the price. We'll have to see how long it holds up. As for now I'm happy I got it and my kids are having alot fun climbing and hanging off the bars on this dome climber.

It looks great in backyard and I was able to put it together myself (though help would have been nice) My 4 and 6 year old love it-not to mention the neighborhood kids. My son would be on it every day if it weren't so cold and wet out. Great buy. Only problem was I had to call the company because there was a mistake in the directions. But even that she was able to help me with no problem.

My daughter loves it! We bought it for her birthday. My dad and I put it together in roughly an hour and a half. We have experience with tools and building things, so time will vary. The dome is very sturdy once the final tightening is done. My brother weighs around 230 lbs. He climbed to the top and nothing moved at all. I really like the finish on the metal as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

We just purchased the Lifetime Dome Climber for our son's 5th birthday. We got it shipped for free, never thinking there might be a picture on the box. It turned into an early birthday present when he saw the box on the porch. He couldn't wait for Dad to finish assembling it. Assembly was very straight forward. The product is solid and well made. Our boy was sad that he couldn't climb on the inside ...just not strong enough yet...but he will build upper body strength playing on the dome and will be able to climb up on the inside in no time. We play ball with it and I am sure we will find many other uses for it. Our 2 year old is not tall enough to use it yet; but he enjoys crawling under and playing inside the dome - when his brother is not on top.

The climbing dome is fantastic and definitely suitable for the backyard. Big enough to accommodate many kids and not too big to create an obscene eyesore in your backyard. It was relatively easy to put together. The instructions were good and easy to follow. It took me 3.5 hours but that was because I attempted most of it by myself - not a great idea. You do need an extra set of hands to put this together and keep your sanity at the same time. I bought this for my son for his 5th birthday and he absolutely loves it. So do 10 other kids from the neighborhood - ranging from ages 2 to 10. They climb on it, in it, over it, through it, around it and love just hanging out eating their popsicles under the dome. Also - i bought it "site to store" and it came in many days earlier than estimated.
