MUST HAVE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a widowed homeowner, and I just got to try this out for the first time. I have never used a chain saw, but am familiar with power tools overall. There was a rhododendron bush that had decided to have a growth spurt, and was pushing against the underside of the garage roof. NOT a good thing. What would have been a 45 minute job with a hand saw resulting in a lot of sweat and a sore shoulder was handled in less than ten, and that included second and third cuts to get the branches to fit into the green waste recycling container. Easy to use, light weight, hand holds in good positions, intuitive use. ALL of my trees are now quaking in fear!

Awsome piece of equipment

I bought this because it would let me be independent and not need help from family members. It was awesome! It does the jobs I need to do and is easy to handle. I have arthritic hands and wrists. This saw handled well and did not create any issues for me. Another fine piece of equipment from Worx!

Average Review due to Extension

The base chain saw is Great it does the job well and fast, highly recommended. I would like to see the design include a feature which would prevent the blade from getting pinched on a cut, a bar could be rotated into the cut opening before it begins to bind. The Base unit with the Extension Handle is to heavy to lift up and use from to 8-12 feet definitely. I would even say using the Extension makes the unit to heavy to use for most people unless you are straight under the branch(es) you want to cut. It takes less strength to hold it straight up and cut then it does when you have to hold it at an angle to get to the branch to cut. I would not recommend the Extension Handle for most people, and I am not a weak 66 year old. The rating is based on the Base Unit only. I would give the Extension a 2 due poor handling because of its added weight.

My son will even help me now

I bought the JawSaw last year Spring after it took me about 30 minutes and a sore arm to manually saw large limb off of tree in my front yard. I am afraid of chainsaws but this looked safe enough and easy enough. I am a small 50+ worman so whatever I used had to be easy to handle and lite. It works effortlessly, is very easy to handle, and not too heavy. I got to use it only once. When my teenage son saw how easy it was, he took over and now whenever I need any work done that requires the JawSaw, I only have to ask once. That in itself is worth the cost.

Great addition to my WORX collection!

I hemmed and hawed about getting this but glad I took the chance. I was concerned with the weight being small framed but handled it with no problem. It worked great for getting rid of certain branches I wanted to take down and it cuts easily. Great product!

Wire inside broke

Sorry we bought this. The internal wiring gets caught and breaks. We have had to rewire it 4 times. When it worked it was fine but this is almost beyond repair. I bought it in Oct and unfortunately did not keep receipt otherwise I would have returned it. I would not recommend it. We heat only with wood and the idea that I would be able to help cut up the smaller stuff seemed great. However we have almost run out of wire to repair. Such a waste of money.

The Safety of the Jaws

My husband and I are 60 years old and I had bought him a pole saw and then your commercial came on and I decided for safety he needed this one. It has been amazing. He has been able to trim branches with ease. We have been able to take out bushes and trim trees that we couldn't with a regular pole saw. I can't wait to buy other Worx products. Thanks for making it easy for us to use and and get some very bad needed jobs done.

Easy to handle & manuever

I am a 62 year old female who enjoys working in the yard. We live in a rural area so there is lots of brush to clear each year. I can't say enough good things about this JawSaw as it is easy to use and maneuver. In less than one hour I was able to clear the amount of brush shown in the photo. I definitely rate this JawSaw as excellent! I also have the WORX trimmer and leaf blower. They all share the same lithium battery so I know I'll never run out of power. This is another reason I like WORX tools!

Just the Tool for the Job

I recently had a limb fall in my yard and my new Worx JawSaw was the perfect tool for the job. In the past I would have tried to find a bow and spent half my time trying to keep the blade on or I would have borrowed a gas chain saw and got frustrated that I couldn't get it started. With the Worx JawSaw, I just plugged it in and knocked out the job. You don't even have to bend over to pick up the limbs or have someone else hold it for you. The jaws grab the wood as the blade slices through. Great tool!
