My wife gave me a jawsaw for Christmas two years ago and I have beaten the living daylights out of it, and it still works fine. I have dismantled the brush and branches from six huge pin oaks, enough to provide nearly 2 chords of wood. I have taken down more than four dozen smaller trees and cut them up in a fraction of the time it would have taken with a regular chain saw. I didn't get nearly as dirty or have to bend over to cut most of the wood, since the jaws design picks it up and cradles it during cutting. I also purchased the pole extension, which works great for trimming branches that hang over the house and shed roofs. After all the cutting I've done, I still have never sharpened the chain, likely due to the fact that the design protects the blade from grinding into the ground during each cut. If this one ever gives out - which it gives no sign of doing - I would not hesitate to go out, immediately, and buy another.

My wife and I recently did major tree pruning in our front yard. With my handy WORX electric pole saw I soon had the front yard almost totally covered with big cut limbs. The JawSaw quickly had the bigger diameter limbs cut up into 4 ft. long pieces, that the city prefers, that we stacked on the parkway. We rendered the piles of smaller diameter pieces with our hand cutters and bagged them in contractor bags, also a City requirement. It was all done and gone, thanks to the Jaw Saw, in just a couple of hours. It cuts effortlessly, safely, and quickly and you are done before you know it. It is the perfect tool for limbs laying on the ground.

My husband and I are 60 years old and I had bought him a pole saw and then your commercial came on and I decided for safety he needed this one. It has been amazing. He has been able to trim branches with ease. We have been able to take out bushes and trim trees that we couldn't with a regular pole saw. I can't wait to buy other Worx products. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I purchased my JawSaw about a month ago. Many of my rental homes had over grown branches growing over the roof. With my JawSaw and an extension arm, I was able to cut most of the branches from the ground without the need for a ladder.

I bought this because it would let me be independent and not need help from family members. It was awesome! It does the jobs I need to do and is easy to handle. I have arthritic hands and wrists. This saw handled well and did not create any issues for me. Another fine piece of equipment from Worx!

I just got this Saw and pole. It is great and safe. I am not very savvy with tools, but this was so easy to use. While I added the pole it was a little on the heavy side, but worked great. One thing though, the oil bottle does not have a cap to close it after use.

The base chain saw is Great it does the job well and fast, highly recommended. I would like to see the design include a feature which would prevent the blade from getting pinched on a cut, a bar could be rotated into the cut opening before it begins to bind. The Base unit with the Extension Handle is to heavy to lift up and use from to 8-12 feet definitely. I would even say using the Extension makes the unit to heavy to use for most people unless you are straight under the branch(es) you want to cut. It takes less strength to hold it straight up and cut then it does when you have to hold it at an angle to get to the branch to cut. I would not recommend the Extension Handle for most people, and I am not a weak 66 year old. The rating is based on the Base Unit only. I would give the Extension a 2 due poor handling because of its added weight.

I bought this saw for my wife because it is so easy to use. We live in the country and have lots and lots of trees. I use my gas powered chainsaw to cut trees and my wife cleans up the branches with her JawSaw. She can also cut down small trees with her JawSaw. My wife and I are both in our sixties and this is by far the best saw we have ever used! I will buy another JawSaw when needed. The chain is very easy to change out but the chain lasts so long you don't have to do it that often. We are very impressed and satisfied!

Tried out my new Jaw Saw yesterday for the first time, and it was perfect for trimming and pruning. While it may be a bit heavy when using the available pole extension, it works great at an arm's length. Being able to easily and safely cut up branches on the ground for disposal is a real plus, too. And yes, this device feels and looks much safer than using a small, standard-type chain saw. For those who have had issues with the chain coming off, I can see three possible preventive steps: do not use it for very small or bushy branches - hand clippers are better; don't "rush" the saw into branches - just take it easy and let the saw do its work; and, take a minute to clean out the jaw area and back toward pivot area of the chain's housing - this will avoid building up of debris. For the price and its function, this is a great tool for homeowners who do not regularly need or use a standard chainsaw. I have and use a number of other WORX products, and this looks to be among the best. Another great WORX product for lighter,homeowner use!
