the chain keeps coming off.

When I first bought this it was awesome!! But after a very short time I started having trouble with the chain coming off. I would take it apart, fix it, tighten the chain and cut again and after one or two cuts the chain would come off again. Sigh. Wonderful product if they can fix the chain problem as I loved it before the chain problem. Please fix this issue

Thank you for your feedback. I apologize for the inconvenience this is causing you. When replacing the chain, please make sure that the bar is pulled forward, if the bar slides back while tightening the chain in may not tighten in the proper way. If you need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service department and we will be glad to assist you.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first used it the chain came loose, not off, that is when I realized reading the start up instructions is a must. The chain came loose because what I didn't do and not because of the saw. Once I did what it said the saw helped me wonderfully.

Great !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 gas chain saws always cutting small trees & limbs . Branches on the ground always messing up chain by touching ground with this runs through branches without worrying about chain hitting ground makes short work of branches

Best ever

I'm 71years old and I'm clearing my property of young trees. This battery operated Jaw Saw is the easiest to get the job on the way to completion. How ever I do need a new chain for this item, the other needs to be sharpened, so I'd like to have another one to use while the other is being sharpened. Is it possible to order it through this media?

Great Product! BUT!

I bought my kid one at Lowes. Loved it. So, I bought myself one from WORX. Love it. I was at my kid's place and the chain became dull. So, I went to Lowes to get a replacement chain. SORRY, they don't carry it. They could order it for a $5 premium over the cost from WORX or Amazon. I buy all my stuff from WORX or Amazon. Never from Lowes again. Don't buy from a place that does not support the product you bought. Unless you like sharpening chain blades buy a spare chain as well. They last a long time, BUT with a lot of usage they become dull. I was able to do about 10 trees before my chain became dull. About 4 cords of wood. Also monitor the chain oil reservoir. Keep it full and the chain will last longer. Type of wood will also determine the useful life of the chain.

Great Idea, Terrible Build

It would be a wonderful tool for limbing trees and making kindling except the chain comes off every thirty seconds! I've cleaned the chain. I've tried every level of tension on the nut. I've greased and regreased the thing. It doesn't matter. The chain always slips off ten seconds in. It's infuriating.

I put a Jawsaw on my xmas list two yrs ago and my wife got it for me. Now shes so happy. She says I've got more use and yes enjoyment and work savings out of this gift than anything else she's ever given me.But even this saw gets dull eventually. kit should include a file of the correct diamater. Ihave recomended the Jawsaw to many and even reluctantly let them use mine for a few minuts

Love that Jaw Saw

I am 79, my husband 80. We have an acre of landscaping: trees, shrubs etc. We both have trouble handling the long heavy equipment we used to use. The Jaw Saw is a life saver. I used it to demonstrate to my son, never got to use it again. My son-in-law fell in love with it trimming junipers, Mugo pines, and anything else he could find. Our only complaint was we had to haul off all the cuttings while he played with the saw. LOVE THIS JAW SAW.

Jaws damage trees- Arborist Point of View.

this seems like a great product until you realize that the points on the jaws damage the remaining branch on the tree. In addition the thickness of the jaw makes it difficult to cut next to the branch collar. The branch collar has hormones that allow it to heal itself. A stub above the branch collar will not heal, allowing insects or disease to enter the tree. Can Worx make a thin smooth jaw?

Thank you for your review. The Jaws themselves are designed to hold the branch with the teeth for cutting, however, I will escalate your feedback. I haven't heard of this being an issue before, but again thank you for taking time to inform us.

I LOVE THIS THING!!!

Being that I'm a bit older, and have had two mastectomies, heavy machinery is difficult for me to handle...my muscles are no longer strong. I have a lot of trees on my property and especially after a storm, I have plenty of large branches to deal with at times. I had a chainsaw, but never used it...it was heavy, noisy, and kind of scary! My neighbor borrowed my chainsaw and it broke. We had both seen the commercial for the JawSaw, and I asked him if he thought that it would be better for me to have, instead of a chainsaw. He thought it would be perfect, so he purchased it for me, as a replacement. I seriously LOVE this machine....it's light-weight enough for me to use, even with my weak chest muscles, it eats right through nice sized, branches, and stores easily too. What would have taken me a good 45 minutes or more to cut and move to my wood pile, I literally accomplish in about 7 minutes. I just cut through each section, piled the pieces onto my little dolly, and rolled it all over to the log pile. This has been a life-saver, and one of the best things that another has gotten for me. It's perfect for single women and older people, too, who have their own home and yard to keep neat and clean. I highly recommend this tool !!!
