Wire inside broke

Sorry we bought this. The internal wiring gets caught and breaks. We have had to rewire it 4 times. When it worked it was fine but this is almost beyond repair. I bought it in Oct and unfortunately did not keep receipt otherwise I would have returned it. I would not recommend it. We heat only with wood and the idea that I would be able to help cut up the smaller stuff seemed great. However we have almost run out of wire to repair. Such a waste of money.

Would buy another in a heartbeat.

My wife gave me a jawsaw for Christmas two years ago and I have beaten the living daylights out of it, and it still works fine. I have dismantled the brush and branches from six huge pin oaks, enough to provide nearly 2 chords of wood. I have taken down more than four dozen smaller trees and cut them up in a fraction of the time it would have taken with a regular chain saw. I didn't get nearly as dirty or have to bend over to cut most of the wood, since the jaws design picks it up and cradles it during cutting. I also purchased the pole extension, which works great for trimming branches that hang over the house and shed roofs. After all the cutting I've done, I still have never sharpened the chain, likely due to the fact that the design protects the blade from grinding into the ground during each cut. If this one ever gives out - which it gives no sign of doing - I would not hesitate to go out, immediately, and buy another.

A great product

When I first got this my wife wasn't thrilled. She'd was afraid of chain saws from an incident in her past. After it arrived and she watched me use it, I can't get it away from her. She loves it and especially appreciates it's safety. Very useful and easy to use.

Awsome piece of equipment

I bought this because it would let me be independent and not need help from family members. It was awesome! It does the jobs I need to do and is easy to handle. I have arthritic hands and wrists. This saw handled well and did not create any issues for me. Another fine piece of equipment from Worx!

Excellent tool

Very easy to use and very dependable. Can be used to trim branches, bushes, or limbs very fast. I also got the extension pole to use to reach higher branches. So easy my mom loved using it and would not give it back. The ease of use makes this a must have around the house.

a womans perfect tool, handy, lightweight cutter

purchased last year, was clearing fence rows that had not attended for 18? yrs, lots of young trees to be removed and pruned before dumping into the burn pit. I am 88 years young and carrying /using the 12" cordless chain was do-able but tiring. The JAWSAW allows me to do 3 times the work without all the time outs. So lightweight with the share power battery. It also helps strip the larger trees for more successful burns at the pit. Can't imagine how I survived without it. I now own several WORX power share tools and it keeps getting better.

MUST HAVE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a widowed homeowner, and I just got to try this out for the first time. I have never used a chain saw, but am familiar with power tools overall. There was a rhododendron bush that had decided to have a growth spurt, and was pushing against the underside of the garage roof. NOT a good thing. What would have been a 45 minute job with a hand saw resulting in a lot of sweat and a sore shoulder was handled in less than ten, and that included second and third cuts to get the branches to fit into the green waste recycling container. Easy to use, light weight, hand holds in good positions, intuitive use. ALL of my trees are now quaking in fear!

Easy to handle!

I'm a very independent woman and not a fan of chainsaws, too heavy and they make me nervous using them while alone. This is easy to handle, I feel very safe using it . It took a couple of tries to get the chain to the correct tension, but once I did it kept up with what I needed to do.

My son will even help me now

I bought the JawSaw last year Spring after it took me about 30 minutes and a sore arm to manually saw large limb off of tree in my front yard. I am afraid of chainsaws but this looked safe enough and easy enough. I am a small 50+ worman so whatever I used had to be easy to handle and lite. It works effortlessly, is very easy to handle, and not too heavy. I got to use it only once. When my teenage son saw how easy it was, he took over and now whenever I need any work done that requires the JawSaw, I only have to ask once. That in itself is worth the cost.

Chain comes off continuously

I have tried to use the jawsaw for 2 seasons after receiving it as a gift. It would be a wonderful product but every cut or two results in the chain falling off. I keep reattaching it and 2 cuts later it is off again. I get so frustrated that I go back to hand cutting. Not worth the price or frustration. This seems to be a real product defect that I see a lot of online comments with the same problem.
