MICE HATE THE SCENT AS NOTED ON RESEARCH: If used for preventative reasons, they may work well to keep rats and mice away. Most of the all-natural or DIY methods used to prevent mice are said to work because rats are repulsed by their smell. This is especially true for dryer sheets—while these smell wonderful to us, they are abhorred by rats and mice: also mothballs but hard to find.

The best part is that no nasty smell is ever lingering around. The blocks them selves work great but the trap helps with the clean-up. I learned that you keep all water away from the area you are treating because they drink it after chewing on the green block and it helps pass the effects out of their body. But no water no mice around. What a great item to use when no cat is available.

The thing I like most about this product is that it is refillable. It does have a clear lid which makes it easier to see if the bait needs replaced. I also like that it is child resistant. This was a nice change to use instead of the mouse traps.

The bait lasts a while and each block kills up to 6 mice. It’s safer to use with kids and pets, no worry about them getting into the bait.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was impressed that this trap was so easy to bait and did not get little pellets all over. I like the brick bait. You just open the bottom of the box, put the bait in the little tray, and snap it back into place. Easy, then just put it in a high traffic area for mice and leave it. Be sure to keep away from your animal, my cat seemed to think it was something for him. I am very happy with this product.

I bought the 32 piece bait station. It was late, and I left it out where my dog got to it. I saw on the label that it''s safe for pets. I hadn't read all the details about using the product, and was planning to use it the next day. My dog ripped open the package, which is not dog tamper resistant and ate the green blocks. I took her to the vet, and she looked like she may recover, then took a turn for the worse after 48 hours. She had seizures and tremors so bad, we ended up having to put her down. I will follow up with Tomcat on this horrible tragedy that their product caused, since the dog was able to rip the package with ease.

Not to mention disease carrying! This product is clean and easy to use. I have dogs so I am careful to place it in areas the dogs don’t go and Shazam, no more mice. I love it!
