When you first turn it on, both lower back and shoulder massage turns on with intermittent vibration. When you press the far left button, it alternates shoulder and lower back. If you press again, it will vibrate in spurts. It does take time for the heat, but it's not a burning heat, and you can turn it off. The weight is perfect for me. The Material is very similar to a weighted blanket, very soft. I highly recommend this for anyone with neck, shoulder, and lower back pain. The cord provided is rather long so that I can sit at my computer desk with it on. I LOVE THIS!!!

It's like my own little personal masseuse after a long day at work. The wrap is the perfect weight. it's easy to use and the massager gets all the muscles around my neck. I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this several times, I will say the heat works well but doesn't get very warm and there are three heat levels. It also has three vibration cycles, I say vibration and not massage, because at no point on any part does it feel like a massage, the only way it feels like a "massage' is if you are pushing your back hard against whatever you are sitting in. It has no "massage' in the neck no matter how I adjusted it. This mainly gets your mid and upper back. It shuts off after 30 minutes so you have to turn it on again and let the heat get warmed back up. I am very underwhelmed by this.
