Those giving this a terrible review, obviously didn't look at their bank account after their purchase and realize they had about $1000 more than if they had gone to buy something else comparable from a different company. The metal is as thick as the metal on my american made tool chest that is 20+ years old. I measured with digital calipers. It took me a few hours to put this together, but the most time consuming part was the drawer assembly. Each drawer took several minutes, so that was the bulk of the assembly time. Once that was done, it was pretty easy to put together, and well worth the $400 price tag. Complaints: The notches in the drawer sliders to keep the drawers closed, are a bit tight. We'll see how that improves as it's broken in, but for now they are so tight that the drawer fronts are flimsy enough that it feels as if you're going to pull the handle off of the face if you pull any harder. It's like that with almost every drawer slide.

You won't find a nicer or better built product for the money. You should know that it is in fact Stainless Steel (430 stainless steel) but that does not mean it will not stain or corrode. You can Wiki it, but there are different ratings for Stainless steel and their uses. I had a problem with the door corroding after a year, and Woody at the manufactures web site was very helpful and provided a replacement. The store manager had suggested using auto wax on the stainless surfaces and that might be a good idea although he was incorrect saying it was not "really stainless." Mine was in a normal Minnesota garage, relatively dry except for humidity.

Great box for home or personal shop because the drawers don't lock but would be easy to make your own if you were to use it in a plant environment where you would want to lock the drawers. Every piece is labeled and the instructions are simple and easy to understand. It took me about 3.5 hours to unpack, lay everything out and put together by my self. The ball bearing drawer slides roll very smoothly and quite. For the price I don't think you can beat it. Lots of room and the hard wood top looks to good to mess up, but I guess it will be used as a work surface! They did a great job designing this box as a piece assembly box and then writing the assembly instructions. If Assembled correctly you wont be disappointed. Great workbench and cabinet for the garage. Plan on taking a day to assemble with 2 adults, it is very heavy and a lot ot pieces
