Second set in a row

I drive my truck everyday putting between 18 and 20,000 miles a year on my truck. I don't haul a trailer, but I often have a load in the bed of my truck. This is my second set of MSs in a row. The previous set lasted four years without any trouble. They were getting near the wear bars when I ended up with a utility knife blade through the tread of one tire. This provided me the inspiration to replace my tires. I couldn't come up with a single reason not to replace them with the same tires. By nature I prefer to try new things when the opportunity arises, but the positive experience with the first set of these tires trumped my desire for change. I have also had a set of AT2s which I loved, but they wore out too quickly, in my opinion. While the AT2s were great in the mud and off the beaten path, they didn't have near the lifespan of the MS2s. Also, the MS2s are quieter. I have heard that there are two types of AT2: 1) P-rated and 2) LT-rated. I had the P-rated. I have heard the LT-rated have a longer life, but I couldn't find them in my size (265/70/16). If I had found them, I might have gone that route. All that aside, the MS2 is an outstanding tire. Cheers.

Good Wear/Out of Round

I bought these tires to replace worn OEMs after reading rave reviews. The tires are great in the wet, long wearing and very quiet, but either the tires are out of round or will not balance properly. I have had the installer rebalance several times with no improvement. The tire vibration starts at 45mph peaks at 50mph and diminishes around 60mph, but gets worse again beyond 65mph. There has not been any desire to remedy the problem at the installer. I will not buy these tires again once they wear out.

LTX M/S2

I have been on these tires through all four seasons and in rain mud sleet and snow they have not left me searching for traction to propel forward. The only part I wish they didn't do is when on a gravel road they pick up the small rocks and fling them on top of my truck. The handeling is great and they resist hydroplaning better than any tire I have owned. I am very satisfied and plan to be a repeat owner of these tires.

THE BEST, no others can compare!

I've used the LTX M/S & M/S2 since the early 1990's and they've always lasted much longer than the 70k warranty. One set went 110k without even a flat! I periodically haul heavy loads behind both of my Ford F350 4x4 & F250 4x4 trucks and these tires handle it with ease. They are a great highway tire and have enough grip to get me out of jams when off road. They're also great in the rain due to the deep tread design and I run them on my wife's Ford Expedition as well, which she currently has 83k on her tires and they still have plenty of tread. Keep them rotated & balanced regularly and they'll far out last any other tire on the market!

Over the years I have had ...

Over the years I have had many sets of Michelins on our different vehicles. From the Latitude series on a minivan to the Cross Terrian and now the new MS2's are on a Jeep GC, Pacifica and a F-150. 3 of our 4 vehicles all have Michelin tires. We're only waiting for the 4th set of OE tires to wear out to replace them with a new set of Michelins. With the exception of one set falling a little short of the mileage (teenage driver) every set has exceeded all the mileage expectancy's. They are the quietest tire on the road. Not only is that great, but we live in Colorado and spend a significant amount of time in the mountains. The traction abilities of the MS2's is outstanding on dry surfaces and fantastic in the rain and snow (shallow or deep) conditions of mountain driving. Where my OE tires would lock up and skid on a hard brake situation, the MS2's are still gripping. From my experience, I would guess to say at least 10 ft. shorter stopping distance. Even though the performance is outstanding, the ride quality is outstanding as well and not compromised at all. Would I put another set on our cars? There would never be another brand of tire on my cars or trucks in the future. Period.

"Nothing compares to a Michelin ride"

At age 54 I have driven a few miles. I always drive a pickup and it always rolls on Michelins. These tires provide a noticeably more comfortable ride and are tougher than nails. Treadlife and fuel economy more than prove why in the long run Michelin is the best value as well. My Silverado has turned a lot of miles, going on 200,000 ,Michelin has been a big part of the journey.

Better Than Ever

Just when I thought they couldn't get any better.... I have been using the LTX A/T2 for many years and decided to try the LTX M/S2 again as I heard they improved the wet drivability with this line recently. Very impressed with the ride especially hauling my 12k lb fifth wheel. Thank you for continuing to be a leader in the industry.

LTX M/S2 Great Truck tires

my truck had well worn Michelin tires on it. It was time to find 4 NEW PAWS (Tires). I looked over the selection and went with the LTX M/S2. We live out in the country and NEED tires that can perform in rain, mud, snow & highway driving. These tires are great, you get the feeling that the truck is sticking to the road regardless of what conditions you are driving in. I HIGHLY Suggest these tires if you want dependability.

Rated #1 in My Book

I've just installed my 2nd set of LTX M/S ( now M/S2 ) on my 2004 Chevorlet HD2500 4X4. The difference between the factory tires and the Michelin's were like night and day! I got 74,000 miles out of my last set! Yippee ! Traction? wet or dry was excellent. My truck has always felt like it was glued to the road. Fuel Efficiency? Excellent! City/12.5 - Highway/14.8 which is unheard of in a truck of this size with a 6.0 liter engine. Ride? Made several cross country trips, not only was the ride smooth but i felt confident as well. Cost? A little high for the average Joe like me but my Dad always said, " Son, you get what you pay for " I know now my Dad was right. Thanks Michelin for your research and development for such a great product and helping me keep my family safe with such a dependable and reliable product. My hats off to you Michelin! Thanks again.
