I have been using ...

I have been using Michelin for many years. I have an SUV and 2 Pickups as well as a car. When I got the SUV, it had another brand tire on it. The tires were nice looking and nice riding.EXCEPT, when it came to rough whether and off road. I did not trust the the tires, especially in the rain. I only had 10000 miles on the tire before I went and purchased my Michelins. Immediately I felt the better ride, and then, put them through the test. As always, Michelin makes sure you feel safe under any driving conditions. Thank you for giving me and my family "Peace of mind"!

We "Love" our Michelin Tires

This is the 2nd set of tires we have bought for our Truck & We had Michelin tires on our SUV as well that has over 40,000 miles and still look new, we will probably get 80,000 or more out of the set we now have on. We have 27 years of active Military under our belt with 3 more to go and the Michelin tires are the ones we find to last the longest and wear evenly. We have NEVER had a blown tire made by Michelin. With the Military you move from one end of the country to the other end. This is the main reason we trust Michelin with our tire needs. You have to try it for youself.....you will never go back!!

OK traction but poor tread life.

I bought my LTX M/S2 tires in Sept. 2014 and currently have about 39000 miles on them. Lincoln's head is just now showing so they only have a few thousand miles to go. No where near the 70K. Wet and dry traction has been good but not fantastic. Snow traction is OK as long as it's not deep snow then forget it, 6 inches and it's tough going. I didn't check the pressure monthly but my truck has a TPMS so they were never run low and I rotated tires several times. I expected better from a name like Michelin and not sure I'll buy another set of them.

By far the best tire I have ever used!

I am a traveling salesman and since I bought this truck I purchased the Michelin 275/55R20 LTX MS2. They have been the best tires I have purchased because I do obtain the 70,000 miles I am supposed get. I also enjoy the the soft ride and stability I receive even when I am going through dirt roads and other off road driving that I have to do because of the nature of my business.

Second set in a row

I drive my truck everyday putting between 18 and 20,000 miles a year on my truck. I don't haul a trailer, but I often have a load in the bed of my truck. This is my second set of MSs in a row. The previous set lasted four years without any trouble. They were getting near the wear bars when I ended up with a utility knife blade through the tread of one tire. This provided me the inspiration to replace my tires. I couldn't come up with a single reason not to replace them with the same tires. By nature I prefer to try new things when the opportunity arises, but the positive experience with the first set of these tires trumped my desire for change. I have also had a set of AT2s which I loved, but they wore out too quickly, in my opinion. While the AT2s were great in the mud and off the beaten path, they didn't have near the lifespan of the MS2s. Also, the MS2s are quieter. I have heard that there are two types of AT2: 1) P-rated and 2) LT-rated. I had the P-rated. I have heard the LT-rated have a longer life, but I couldn't find them in my size (265/70/16). If I had found them, I might have gone that route. All that aside, the MS2 is an outstanding tire. Cheers.

Great ride,great performance,great tire!

There is a reason I decided to purchase Michelin tires again for my SUV. The previous set of Michelins lasted over 104,000 miles and I couldn't have been happier with them. Despite having a little bit of tread life left on my previous tires, I decided since winter was coming I would go ahead and purchase a new set to ensure the safety of my family and I. I purchased the LTX M/S2's, and I am very pleased with these tires. I have plenty of experience driving in different conditions with the LTX M/S2 tire, including snow, rain, and ice....with NO complaints. I recognize the fact that these tires are a bit more expensive than others on the market, but there is a reason for that. They are simply higher quality, longer lasting, better performing, and safer. Had I went cheap when I bought my previous set of tires in 2007, I would have had to buy 2 sets of tires to last the 104,000 miles which my Michelins did. So I leave you with this, buying higher quality may be slightly more expensive in the beginning, but less expensive in the end, and will ensure your satisfaction with the tire every mile you drive in between. Thanks Michelin for giving me and my family peace of mind on the road everyday.

Had this tire installed ...

Had this tire installed back in Feb of 2010, on my 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1/2 ton crew cab truck. Instantly saw a difference in steering ease, road grip both starting and stopping, especially when roads were wet. This is the best tire I have had on any truck I've owned, and I've used other Michelin's besides other brands. Would definitely recommend them for pick-up trucks, but I have no experience with off road use as I drive only on paved roads.

Best Tires ever

I got my Michellin LTX M/S2 last December for a trip to North Carolina. The feeling of new tires was immediately, smooth ride and better braking. In the snow the tires were ok since they are not designed for snow terrain or deep mud. Michellin tires are the best, also I bought a set of Michellin Defender tires for my Wife's van (Honda Odyssey) she love them. Ohh I forgot, now in summer here in Florida rains a lot almost everyday, there is not aquaplaning using this tires. My car? Nissan Pathfinder 1997 with 190,xxx miles 4x4. I would recommend this tires to all my friends.

Great tire but initial issues

The tire is quiet and has great characteristics as promoted such as handling, stopping. However, I had two of the four tires with issues where the tire was egg-shaped and was very noisy until they were replaced. This should have been caught by quality control.

Rated #1 in My Book

I've just installed my 2nd set of LTX M/S ( now M/S2 ) on my 2004 Chevorlet HD2500 4X4. The difference between the factory tires and the Michelin's were like night and day! I got 74,000 miles out of my last set! Yippee ! Traction? wet or dry was excellent. My truck has always felt like it was glued to the road. Fuel Efficiency? Excellent! City/12.5 - Highway/14.8 which is unheard of in a truck of this size with a 6.0 liter engine. Ride? Made several cross country trips, not only was the ride smooth but i felt confident as well. Cost? A little high for the average Joe like me but my Dad always said, " Son, you get what you pay for " I know now my Dad was right. Thanks Michelin for your research and development for such a great product and helping me keep my family safe with such a dependable and reliable product. My hats off to you Michelin! Thanks again. Ralph Jones, Jacksonville,Fl.
