Bottom Line

What you really need to know. I bought a set of (4) LTX MS/2 tires for my 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 4WD - 265/65 R18. I live in the Chicago land area and am on a paved road 99% of the time. These tires see lots of rain, slush, snow and hot sun every year. The take abuse from monster size pot holes that multiply every spring. My truck never goes off-road but sometimes I wonder. Bottom line is these will be the best riding, quietest tires you will ever own. They ride smooth, and get great traction in rain, snow and Ice. If I need more traction than these tires can provide nothing is moving on the road because traffic is at a standstill. Now I will say that I would love to have a more aggressive looking tire to satisfy my need to feel like I am driving a "Monster Truck" but I just cant get passed how well these tires ride and handle. Compared to the Duler A/T's that the truck came with it's like I traded in my Truck in for a new car.

Best Light Truck Tires !!!

2009 F-150 w/ 20" wheels. 54 year old driver with mechanical background. Purchased these tires just over 1 year ago and have put about 16,000 miles on them. Took a trip out west (6500 miles) right after they were installed. I couldn't be happier with them. Like riding on a cushion of air. Made my F150 even more pleasurable to drive. Wear has been as expected for a truck and I fully expect to get 70,000 miles out of them. Handling seems improved over previous tires. Mileage stayed the same. Tires were filled with nitrogen initially and I found tire pressure was low in all four after 3 months. I have been monitoring more closely. Without any doubt the best tires I have ever owned.

Worth Every Penny

Well worth the money, quiet, smooth, great handling on dry and wet conditions, excellent traction on ice and snow.Seem to have just the right roll resistance.Have about 12000 miles on these tires and they still look brand new.Would highly recommend over the other top rated tires.

Fast Treadwear !

Treadwear faster than expected. Tires were purchased from dealership where vehicle purchased and properly aligned, balanced, rotated and inflated. Traction excellent, but would have expected more treadwear with less than 2 years and less than 27,000 miles with moderate driving.

Great off road and Excellent Wet cond.

All tires are pretty good and handling wet road conditions the first year but the LTX M/S (2) stay that way year after year. They are great in snow and evey handle off road conditions very well. On top of that they offer a comfortable and quiet ride down the road. They are the best out there.

Poor Treadlife

Purchased a set of 4 LTX M/S2 (P265/65R17 110T) 04-11-15 at about twice the cost of other tires. Was impressed with purported riding comfort and tread wear promise. Mileage at installation: 26680; Mileage today: 59401; Mileage on tires: 32721. Rotated every 5000 miles; tire psi checked weekly. Tires have worn evenly, but tread is gone. Would not pass state inspection (WV) if I had to have one before spring. I doubt that I can get thru the coming winter on this set. Like other reviewers, I was willing to pay more for these tires in consideration of the riding comfort and increased tire life. I got one of the two (comfort) but am extremely disappointed in the short tread life.

not happy with adjustment

for a 70,000 mile tire, I had to have them replaced at 25,00 miles for weather checking after 4 years. tires were not driven in winter and garaged for 6 mths when off the road. roughly 25,000 miles on tires, which were mostly towing our 5th wheel RV. with the medial adjustment we received, tires still cost more than when we purchased new tires 4 years ago. just wish my wage went up that much per centage

I only trust michelin tires.

I have a full size van that has a wheelchair lift. These tires are good for heavy loads. I love the way these tires handle and last for a long time. I have bought these tires in the past and will only buy these tires for this vehicle and for any other vehicle we will purchase in the future.

LTX M/S2

I have been using Michelin tires for a couple of decades now and have been very impressed by their performance until my last set of LTX M/S2's. My last set of LTX M/S I got 74,000+ miles out of them with tread left. My present set of LTX M/S2's is just over 52,000 miles and they need to be replaced. I have been able to get exceptional performance from tires in the past and am very consistant in driving habits. Braking is good and traction in good, but the mileage is disappointing. I'm not very impressed with these LTX M/S2's and wish Michelin would go back to the original LTX M/S. I think I'm looking elsewhere.

Nothing like a Michelin

I put these tires on my Tahoe this past good Friday (2013) and so far they are wonderful. I've owned Michelin in the past and have put other brands on my vehicles but nothing compares. The ride was noticeably better even driving through the parking lot of the business where I purchased the tires. My experience is satisfied the more I drive. I would and do recommend Michelin Tires to all my friends/family.
