Great Bench

I purchased this bench so I can workout at home, but not have too much of a drop-off in quality from gym equipment. This bench is very similar to what you would use in a gym, with the incline and decline positions. What I really liked, is the fact that the bench back has a 90 degree angle, so I can sit up and do shoulders press exercises. The bench is very sturdy and wide. If you're serious about weight-lifting, you want an Olympic bench like this one. I originally bought a standard sized bench and returned it, because it was too narrow. The only bad thing I can say about the bench is the leg-extension attachment. It's a little small. I'm 5' 10" / 160 and it's just big enough for me. Great bench for the price.

Packing could be better

I got my Competitor Olympic Weight Bench today, when unpacking I noticed several paces on the bars and tubes were the plastic bags protecting the paint had sipped half off allow some the parts to scratched the metal ,when a simple piece of tape would stopped this from happing. Now for the leg lift and to be fare many Co. do this- the tubes for the cushions slid through the leg lift tube without any nylon inserts for the cushion tube to ride on making it last much longer instead it rides on sharp edges ,metal to metal contact and with 100lb. on this the cushion tubes will not last long , now how much would 4 nylon inserts cost ??? But it seems very stable .

Pretty Solid

This bench is pretty solid, I was a little disappointed it doesnt go to flat bench, always has a slight incline but not enough to return. Easy to put together and gets the job done, and handles the weight I want to use, most of the standard benches only hold up to 200lbs or less. I like the width between posts so you dont pinch your hands when returning the weights to the crutches. Im happy with the purchase.

HORRIBLE

This is a joke, so I got the whole package in the mail. I open it up to start working on it...I decide to tighten the bolts up all at the end. As I finishing putting everything together (ps I just need to tighten the bolts now) THE ALLEN WRENCHES DO NOT FIT!!!!!! 4 DIFFERENT SIZES AND NONE OF THE ALLEN WRENCHES FIT. I JUST WASTED 1 HOUR AND A HALF BUILDING THIS THING. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I really do not know how they have a 4.4/5 stars.

GREAT bench, but make sure you get

GREAT bench, but make sure you get the right size bar. This went together in about 1 hours. VERY sturdy and perfect for my height 5'10. The only issue was no where did it state the size bars it would hold. It only takes 7' bars with 2" holes for the holder. Unfortunately we purchased 5' bars w 1" weights. Besides that I would certainly purchase again. Just needs to be a bit more clear in the the info before ordering.

Nice bench

I was a little nervous buying an olympic weight bench from Wal-mart, but it surprised me in a good way. I was able to assemble the entire bench by myself (instructions were easy to read), and it is surprisingly stable. I love the way it feels when you lay down on the bench (supportive for my shoulders and back). I am tall (6'6") and I have no difficulty fitting on the bench. Great addition to my exercise equipment!

Great for what I need

Got this bench about 6 weeks ago. I use it 3x per week. It was very easy to assemble, no issues. Not sure how it will hold up with heavier weights, but for the light endurance training I'm doing, it has so far worked great! Easy to adjust height of bar and bench. Great value!
