I do not know who is writing dozens of 1-star reviews—all with precisely the same wording, no useful information, and reporting the same problem repeatedly. Someone with a grudge whose reviews should not be here. I have frequently purchased and used these Darden cards and other gift cards on this site for over a decade. They always work. They have never failed. They save you money. They purchase food and services exactly like money. You have received a discount for purchasing them instead of paying retail. They do exactly what gift cards do. You can receive them in hard copy, shipped free, or you can receive them in your email and your server will use the physical card or the code from the email when you make payment. Avoid reviews that are obvious lies. They do us all a disservice. Sam’s should remove them from this page. While I have never had an issue with a gift card I purchased at Sam’s, I have found that if there is an issue with any product on this site, Sam’s will correct it. Someone (quite clearly the same someone in every review) moaned that they didn’t make the card work but only offered a refund. That is precisely what companies do when something doesn’t operate correctly. If there is a problem, they cannot abra-cadabra-bibbidi-bobbidi-boo magically over the telephone or email make the item work. They issue a refund and then provide another purchase of the object if you desire it. It’s a gift card. It works. It saves you money. Duh.

Not sure why people were having issues with this? I received the gift card via email within an hour. I printed it out and was able to scan the QR code on the little payment kiosk at the table, didn’t need any help from the manager or anything like that. Our bill was under $100 and it let me put some of the balance towards the waiter’s tip. All in all, this is a superb deal and I would definitely buy again. I suggest you do what I did and just print it out to avoid running into any issues.

Not sure why people have such trouble with these! I've bought them and it does take a bit of time to be emailed to you so don't expect it instantly. Don't wait to buy it right before you're going eat. Also, these are easy to use. I just scanned the QR code right from my phone at the little computer on the table and it deducted that amount from my bill. There were no issues.

Not sure why people have had issues in the past. Whatever it was, must have gotten fixed. Used at a Longhorn Steakhouse this past weekend. I just mentioned that they needed the manager's swipe and there didn't seem to be any problem and I saved 15% with the egift card.

I was very apprehensive about ordering the Darden restaurant e-gift cards because of the quantity of negative reviews I read. However, knowing that I could get a full refund from Sam's if they did not work (and reading very positive reviews from others) encouraged me to purchase and give them a try yesterday. I received the cards within 30 mins and was able to use them both at the Olive Garden last night. With guidance from our server on how to initiate the process and help from my niece, who then took over the reins with the pay system at the table, (since I can be very technically challenged and impatient with these things), they went through without any problem at all. It was a great experience, and I will absolutely purchase them again. Thank you, Sam's!

I bought and gifted 2 of these for Christmas. I was told by both people they did not work. I checked the balance online and it says "Account invalid or closed". I reached out to Sam's support. They said it was a "known issue" and I had to reach out to Darden in order to get it resolved? Really? A gift card should not be this hard!

I made the mistake that others did. This gift card DOES NOT WORK. I bought the gift card and then went to the restaurant with my family only to find that the gift card was invalid. Contacted Sams Club about it and they will get back to me in 24-48 hours. Save yourself the embarrassment of going to the restaurant with an invalid gift card.

I have attenpted to use this a few times now and it doesnt work. Went to check balance and it has none, just says invalid. This is the first time I can remember having issues with a gift card from anywhere at all. Do not purchase. Waiting for customer service to get back to me about a refund.

I bought two of these gift cards and neither one of them will work. I received the e-gift cards by email a couple hours after placing the order but when I entered it to purchase a to go order from Olive Garden it says the number is not valid. Tried multiple times and triple checked the numbers but both say not valid.

Bought two and when I checked the balance it said "Invalid account number or the account is closed". When I called in I was offered a refund but was told they cannot replace with two valid cards, and when trying to reorder on the website it says there is a limit of 2 and I cannot order any more. Sam's Club you should take these down from your website if you are selling worthless and invalid gift cards, as evidenced by my order and multiple others based on the reviews here. Very poor customer service to not make this right!
