We won't buy anything BUT Michelin Tires

We live in the country, off of a gravel road. We were getting flat tires several times throughout the summer months from rocks punching holes in our tires. Since changing to Michelin tires, we rarely, if ever, get a flat. We have also had Arctic Alpins on our vehicles and never have any problem getting up our hill in the winter, even with a few inches of snow on it. We won't buy any other tire brand EXCEPT for Michelin, and we our daughters buy Michelins for their vehicles too.

Michelin Takes No Prisoners

I can't say enough good things about Michelin. I bought new tires in Nov., 2012, and they probably saved my life and also a lot of headache. While getting into my car in a parking lot, I noticed an enormous bolt, at least four-inches long, jammed into one of the tires. It was jaw-dropping. Then I remembered that the previous day I had heard a strange noise which had sounded like a flat tire. But I had chalked it up to irregujlarities in the road. I have a picture of this if you want it, please email me. It is EXTRAORDINARY. I could not believe when I saw it that the tire had actually continued to operate for over 24 hours, undaunted by this challenge. There wasn't even a leak, and the tire was able to be repaired. It truly amazed me. I will continue to buy Michelin

Poor quality, mysterious slow leaks

These came with my new car, and they are without a doubt the least reliable tires I've ever had. Within 22,000 miles, two tires developed irreparable damage too close to the sidewalk to repair. The issue showed up as a slow leak with no visible signs of damage. One distributor, who said Michelin wouldn't cover it under warranty, told me that this is a common and inexplicable problem. When these remaining tires have reached the end of their usefulness, I will replace them with another brand and never buy Michelin again.

Getting new tires prematurely

This tire was original equipment on my 2019 Chevy Bolt. At 17000 miles the dealer recommended I replace 2. At 25000 they are all shot. They squeal like crazy on curvy roads, are bumpy and generally noisy. I picked up a tiny screw and found out the self sealing feature does not work.

noisey tires

I just put 4 of these tires on my 2002 T Bird and they are very noisey on all types of pavement and all speeds. I told the dealer I wanted QUIET as # 1 and water handling 2nd. I have Michelin HYDROEDGEs on my Lincoln towncar and they are QUIET and are great in rain and snow. I already spoke with the dealer and the T Bird is going back for some different tires. Thanks, Ray I am hoping I can get the HYDROEDGE or an equivalent for the Bird.

My Michelin Engery Savers ...

My Michelin Engery Savers A/S tires have been outstanding tires. The tires have excellent handling in all weather conditions even show. The grip on the tires makes my car feel glued to the road. My tires currently have about 20,00 miles and show almost no wear. I rotate and balance my tires every 6k miles.

Pin hole

Just wanted to say that I got a pin hole leak on the side wall and the technician said it could be a tire defect. I like the tire and bought the same tire but I am upset since the tire was only 2 years old. Just a friendly heads up to you all. We will see how this tire goes!!

Camry 2012

I had these tires when I purchased the car. After 67000, it was time to replace them. I bought set of Bridgestones for my car but I realize the difference instantly. After a week I called my service center and asked them to replace it with Michelin Energy Saver. Michelin tires are very quiet and smooth. I will never switch to any other brand again.

I'm getting more!

These tires were hyped to deliver (I don't remember exactly but let's say) 5% better miles per gallon. Yeah, right, I thought. But I bought them anyway. And I got an even GREATER mpg increase than "hyped"! No lie. On a Prius, yet. For once, the hype was an understatement. (I don't recall exactly how much better, but I vividly recall it being noticeably better, maybe an 8% improvement.) I DID inflate them to near maximum (per sidewall) 42 psi front, 40 rear, while Toyota wanted me to have it set to a LOT lower. But I not only suffered NO handling issues, I got 65,000 miles out of them, car travels straight as an arrow, including braking, with no unusual tire wear, so here's me going back for four more. P.S. On one expressway trip of 600 miles over mostly level roads and traveling at 55-60 mph, I got 60 mpg! No lie!

Good tires: 97,000 on 2 sets

We have had no trouble with 2 sets of these tires on a 2011 Fusion. 97,000 miles and we drive 2 miles of gravel each day, sometimes more gravel. The Michelins were worth the extra $150 or so versus most brands that I usually get just 35,000 miles out of.
