Sam's has the best price in town for oxtails. It's still higher than it should considering that this was considered one of the cheap cuts or trash meat. That said, cooking them low and slow made them into an amazing dish. I went with an Ethiopian spice mixture for this one. I have since made the same dish with beef shank, which delivered more meat and less bone, but the exact same flavor with way less fat

Great value for what you get! I tried buying oxtails in so many other grocery stores and the prices were inflated for the quality of meet you get. Tried out Sam's and it was hands down one of the best tasting cuts of beef I ever had!

Best value for the money. When you can't make it to a butcher or meat market to get good cuts of oxtails without all the fat, this is your best bet. I always buy this several times a month. Great size pieces!

Meaty oxtails were great! I searched all over just to find them down the street. Oxtails are pricey but I thought they were a good price. Served Jamaican style with mashed potatoes, everyone loved them!!!

The oxtails are very well priced. Lots of meat, but the fallback is, there is also lots of fat on it. By the time I was done trimming, I ended up with almost 3lbs of fat!!!! Now imagine if that was 3lbs of meat that I had to throw away? I wish they would trim it before packaging. People are willing to buy more if they see that they are not buying to throw away so much of what they bought.

I only purchased one pack and I should have purchased two packs as there is way too much fat on the ox tails. To the tune of the actual meat is drowned in the fat. However; once you actually get to the meat and it rather enjoyable.

This meat has more fat and bones. We are being over charged for the quality of this meat. All the markets are doing the same for this type of meat. This is why I don’t buy it more than 2 times a year.

Found these to have a far greater fat to meat ratio than other sources I have purchased (supermarkets and butcher shops). The broth was also weaker flavored.

I would not purchase these from Sams again. I spent so much time just cutting the fat from the meat. After I finished I was left with heaping amounts of fat, which really ticked me off. I literally paid for fat. I was still able to make the dish but if im spending that type of money it best to go to the butcher, publics, or specialty store than buy from Sams again. Waist of time and money.

Terrible!!! Will never buy these from here again! Over priced, more fat than meat, cut too thick and bad job of butchering. Looked as if they were mangled/ chewed up.
