Not an All Season Tire

Dry and Wet performance is excellent, however their performance on compact snow is almost zero. I could not get over the "curb" leading to my driveway. In Michigan, this makes the tire almost useless. I would not recommend to others, nor purchase them again.

Don Not Like These Tires

At 60 to 61 miles per hour and then again at 67 to 69 miles per hour the tires make an annoying vibration/buzz/hum. The tires are not out of ballance and they roll smoothly but the vibration persists. Very disapointed in these tires; purchases one month ago.

Only 1000 miles but so far better than the rest

I have had this tire on my CLS 550 for about 1000 miles. I am not a heavy footed driver but I am a high milage driver. Car came with another brand and developed a wobble after 10K miles, those were a HP Summer tire, dumb enough I bought a second set of the same and had the same problem after 10K miles. Went with the Mich SS and those were great but living in Florida the rain here made them meh at best. These pups are amazing, the ride quality is top notch (can't say silent but smooth and handles well). My concern was rain, if you live in Florida than you know Jun 1st is the start of monsoon season and the rain down here is unlike anything I have experienced living up north. No problem hauling on the thruway at 70-80 MPH but in the rain I don't have that hydroplane feeling i did with all of the other tires, it's as if these soak up the water and stay planted to the road. With offset wheels I dont expect to get much out of them, maybe 1 year 15 K miles but so far I can NOT complain at all. Much of an upgrade to all the previous tires I had.

Rubbish tire for all seasons!

These Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires are supposedly "Ultra High Performance All Season" but are barely usable on anything but the nicest of summer days. When it is wet, cold, snowy or any weather condition OTHER than perfectly nice and sunny, these poor tires slide all over the place. They have the worst traction in cold than any tire I've ever owned, and by "cold" I mean anything under Fifty Degrees Fahrenheit. That is truly pathetic. Trying to accelerate onto a freeway is a tricky and DANGEROUS proposition for these UHP tires, the back end of my car slides all over the place and just cannot get a grip. Horrid tires, buy ANYTHING else.

A/S 3: A true allseason performance tire

I have a 2014 MINI Roadster S. I have been driving since 1962 and autocrossing with success since 1995. I have driven on extreme performance tires, r-compound tires, and racing slicks, both dry and wet. Yesterday I brought home a set of 205/50-16 A/S 3's in the rain. Today it rained harder and I found the standing water puddle on my most driven back road. I heard the right front tire violently cutting through the water at 60 mph but it didn't even tug on the tire nor slow the car as that friendly puddle has always done before. The steering is light. Partly due to 10.5mm of tread and partly due to surprisingly low rolling resistance. Turn in is immediate. Well, surely there must be an actual delay but it is too small for me to perceive. Grip is somewhere well beyond the level I am willing to risk on a public road. They simply track no matter how fast I dare corner with them at gendarme and bad karma attracting speeds. For reference, the car on OEM tires understeered if I tried to have much of any fun cornering. That is, the tires lost grip and the car ran wide which is especially unnerving in a right hand turn with oncoming traffic. These are serious performance tires oh so well suited to a MINI driven in all weathers except snow blizzards and subzero temperatures.

Not as good as summer tires

When I switched from my OEM Michelin RTF to A/S tires, i was expecting smoother, quiter ride. However, overall quality of ride was not as good as the original tires. It was very noisy as well. Had trouble getting replacements within 30 days because of staggered wheel sizes on my BMW sports package and summer tires were out of production. I do not recommend these tires if you have a BMW 3 series with sports package. Heard good review about pilot sport summer tires.

not even close to 45K miles

I purchased these tires since they are the only low profile speed rated tires on the market with a mileage warranty. I barely have 30K miles on the tires - rear tires are at 3/32 and front tires are at 4/32 - basically worn out. Tire wear is even on all 4 tires. I take good care of the tires - B&R every 6K miles(side to side since F&R are different sizes), alignment min 1 per year and maintain air pressure. I've been extremely gentle with these tires since they cost big bucks and I wanted them to last. I really liked the tires until now. They don't grip as well as summer tires in the curves but I was willing to make that trade if I could get better mileage...OEM were competitor summer tires - got 36K miles before replacing. Ride comfort is very good, low noise; didn't see any difference in fuel mileage between OEM and these tires. I would have given these tires an A+ if I would have written the review shortly after I bought them but with only 30K miles on them, they did not last as long as I expected.

Very quiet and smooth ride

I replaced the factory installed tires with these Michelin tires and have been very pleased. I have a Mercedes E350 and handling and a quiet ride were qualities I wanted in a new tire. These tires exceeding my expectations. A smooth, quiet and great handling ride are all achieved. My wife's car is a Mercedes C300 Sport. When her tires were in need of replacing we went into a local tire store and was told by the salesman that another popular tire was the best tire for performance. We bought the tire and I can't tell you how disappointed we are with the tires. The handling is very good but the trade off in road noise isn't acceptable. I will buy the Michelin tires as soon as I can justify the replacement. The Michelin's cost is justified with the engineering that has gone into this product. These tires provide the driver the safety, performance, and a smooth/quiet ride that Michelin's reputation and marketing is built on. There is truth in Michelin's advertising that I would speak for.

Great Tires

Purchased these tires for a 370 Z Roadster. They replaced the OEM tires which had 24K. I have approx. 450 miles and so far I am very impressed. Even in a Roadster, I can tell that these tires are quieter and the ride, grip, and handling have all improved over the replacements. I highly recommend these tires. Will post again after about 5K miles.

Nice Tiore bad mileage

This is a great tire and rides very smooth. You can feel the traction just tooling along. I expect this from Michellin, the only brand of tires I buy. What I did not expect was for the new tires to eat up gas mileage. A Lot. I normally get 210 to 220 miles on a half tank of gas. With the A/S 3 I am lucky to get 160 on that half tank. Love the feel of the tire but it has to go back. Will go back to the Exalto A/S. What a shame.

Thank you for providing your feedback in regard to your experience with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires. New tires having full tread depth will have more grip and rolling resistance in comparison to worn tires. As the new tires wear, the rolling resistance decreases. Over the life of the tires, all things being equal, the fuel efficiency should improve.
