I bought the Michelin D2 and they are absolutely marvelous. I recommend the D2 Michelin for longevity purposes. The 80,000 miles assure much about the versatility of the automobile tires in everyday society.

So far so good after approximately 3 months and 4,000 miles on our Defender 2s. The most notable improvement is a front end road noise reduction; the tires also provided admirable traction after a recent snowstorm. Some improvement in gas mileage was anticipated but that hasn't been noticed. Overall we're satisfied with our Defender 2 tires (but, hey, what new tires aren't an improvement over aged, worn tires?).

Put these on my 2019 Honda Accord, 225/50/17. They Mileage actually increased by 1.5mpg, they are quiet, and ride decently. But, they have poor on center feel. The tires wander so much on the highway that it feels like the car is being blown around by wind. The tires are perfectly balanced, the car has perfect alignment, and pressures are right on 32psi. I'm guessing it is tread squirm. Regardless, it is fatiguing to drive due to the constant corrections required. The lane keep and assist feature of my car is MUCH busier trying to keep the car centered. The ride is generally smooth, especially over more rounded bumps. But on square edge, sharper bumps (like 1" high peaked cracks), there is a harsh spike transmitted to the cabin. Super weird. I'm also a little concerned about wet and snow traction in SE Michigan. Interestingly, the same tires on my wife's 17 CRV feel brilliant. We've had 6 sets of Defenders over the years, and they were always a great choice. I'm a former master mechanic, and have never considered returning tires before. I have 1 more week left on the 30 day trial period, and I'm not sure I'm going to keep them. May have to try Pirelli or Continental.

We just got these so we've only put a few miles on them tires but they are much quieter than the continental tires we had been buying. They seem to ride nicely as well and look much meatier too. I'm sure I'll be kicking myself for not paying the extra price for Michelins years ago.

The New Defender 2 tires have great handling performance in dry and wet weather conditions, and it also provides very comfortable and quiet ride! In addition, it's great to know that the New Defender tires will last for a very long time with 80,000 miles warranty. I like the new tires very much and happy with the choice I made.

Love the Michelin Defender 2 tires! First purchased a set for my wife's car. When it was time to replace tires on my car, no question which tire to go with. The tires have a smooth ride, but also grip the road well. Great traction in both wet and dry conditions.

I recently purchased these to replace my set of 70,000 mi Energi that came on my car from the OEM. First thoughts of the Defender were good until I had to drive on the highway. The amount of groove wander I have with these tires is alarming. In fact so alarming, I had to stop driving on the highway because I thought a wheel was loose. I took the car to the dealer where they had it for three days trying to figure what I was complaining about. I think they are a good tire just not suited for my Fusion.

I've heard others brag on their new tires, and wondered why they were so excited....that is, until I bought Michelin Defenders for my 2010 Lexus RX350! Having tried the best of many other brands, I must now affirm that nothing--NOTHING-- rides, wears, handles or performs like Michelin! They are more quiet, more sure-footed, particularly in compromising conditions, better wearings, and provide a better ride than any tire I have ever used. FIVE STARS for Michelin...all the way!

I replaced the original tires on my Honda CRV with Michelins. Cannot be happier. My dealer had a sale price on the set , plus I got an eighty dollar rebate! The old tires were loud on all surfaces. The Michelins are quiet and ride so much better. Plus I expect double the tire wear.
