We have three cats and they shed. We have the Dyson V8 but the V10 picks up so much more than we ever could have imagined. The extra large canister is very convenient and we are so amazed when it is full of cat hair! You don't even need to use the highest power so the battery charge lasts a long time.

Although I bought a restored model I am very happy with it. What I am unhappy about is I chose the wrong. model. The one I chose doesn't allow me to remove the battery. I did not know the difference as I looked on the Dyson website and would like that site to give a little bit more information or easier to see the difference. Thank you.

The vacuum does a great job sucking up pet hair & particles on hardwood floor & rugs. Being new, the battery seems efficient enough to vacuum as long I need to. Like all batteries, how long before it starts to degrade. I have a Tesla & there are methods to measure the battery life. I'm currently not aware of any method for Dyson batteries.

I bought this vaccum a month ago. It is the best vaccum that I have ever owned. It is light and easy to use. It has great suction and the battery lasts for a good amount of time. It is nice to be able to vaccum my rugs and hard wood floors. It is great for getting to the hard to reach places and the stairs.

I purchased this product about a month and a half ago. The suction is excellent and I don''t have to recharge it often because the battery lasts a long time. The issue is emptying out the cylinder when it is full. You have to disconnect the long plastic hose from the entire top of the vacuum. Emptying out the filtration cylinder is difficult and very inconvenient. You have to clean most of the debris out by hand because it gets stuck in the cylinder. This is what I do not like about this vacuum. I owned another Dyson vacuum and it did not need to be emptied out with such difficulty. Unsure if I will be returning it due to the inconvenience of emptying out the debris.

Only had the Dyson V10 Animal for 3 weeks, so far I am loving it. I only gave 4 stars because I didn't think the attachment for steps and furniture picked up as well on carpeted steps. I would recommend to a friend for quick pick ups. I also have a Kirby, Filter Queen, and Rainbow sweeper and the suction on this battery stick vacuum is comparable. I keep a sweeper on each floor in my home.

I debated a long time about spending $$$ for a vacuum. So far- about a month in- I'm so glad I did! The cordless feature is so awesome! I used to constantly trip over my old vacuum cord and to be free of the cord is so wonderful! Plus the Dyson seems to clean better than my old vacuum, if the amount of hair and debris in the dust bin is any indication! Other reviewers complained about having to hold the trigger constantly but that hasn't been an issue for me. It is comfortable with the hand placement and not too heavy, even with my arthritic hands.

I love this vacuum. The suction power is amazing as is the battery life I love that it came with accessories and a mount to hang it with. One negative that prevented a perfect score is that you have to squeeze the trigger the whole time you're using it. Wish there was a one push solid on button. Also, as a handheld it is pretty heavy but does a fantastic job as car vacuum

In a home of 2 dogs and 4 cats I count on my Dyson to de-fur the whole house. On medium setting I can get enough runtime from the battery to vacuum the 1st floor. At first it was difficult to remove the primary attachment but a small amount of Teflon grease on the guides that slide into the base made it much easier when I needed to dump the contents of the vacuum canister. The smaller attachment also works very well on our sofas. I would have preferred a unit with an exchangeable battery so I could vacuum the whole house at once with a second battery. We vacuum twice a day so that's a lot of charging and discharging of the battery which will end its usable life sooner. Even so I gave this a 5 star because of its compact sturdy design, ease of use, and powerful suction.

We bought this model to supplement our Animal Stick. Best decision I have made on a vacuum system. The battery has a appreciably longer life which is great and allows me to clean the entire first floor before needing to recharge the unit. Yet, the best features are the new hair-ripping head and the "elbow". The new head's articulation is far improved. Plus, with the elbow, I can easily reach all the way under the beds and the oven, the most difficult places to vacuum, without getting on my knees, etc. Well worth the money.
