First of all, let me say... these bags DO expand. They are stretchy and flexible. However, they tear more easily than I would have expected. I use them just for regular kitchen trash; not even for heavy duty purposes. They develop small holes at the pressure points. It's not enough to cause a catastrophic failure of the bag, but there will be holes. Is this a huge thing? Maybe not. If there are ants in the area.. maybe so. My point is that bag that's advertised as "heavy duty" should not develop a rip just from being poked by the corner of a Chinese food container.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I am always looking for a good garbage bag that will not only hold everything that I put in it, but that has handles that don't break either. This Hefty Ultra Strong trash bag arrived at my house just before Thanksgiving, which was a good thing because I hosted this year. These bags held all of the aluminum casserole pans, soda cans, and used paper plates without ripping the sides out. The drawstrings were also strong enough to not rip out or break when I lifted it out of our large garbage can. The only downfall to this bag, and most bags really, is that it doesn't mask the stinky garbage odor. The price seems reasonable for the amount of bags you get. I would happily recommend these to family and friends.

I bought these bags once before and I didn't like them. I needed some trash bags and forgot that I didn't like these before. They are very thin and they are pressed together so you have to separate the bag in order to use it. The problem with that is, because they are thin, I keep putting a finger through the bag. If I can put a finger through the bag just trying to open it, I wouldn't call them "ultra strong". I gave it two stars because so far I've used more than I've ruined, but hopefully next time I will remember that I didn't like these.

BEWARE! These are "expandable" aka easy to rip through and tear. Now I have 90 bags that require double bagging of trash. 2 bags per can just to make it to the dumpster without tearing. Not a cost savings to me at all. My fault for not noticing when I ordered, hope to save someone else the aggravation.

The worst garbage bags I have ever used. They are very thin and leak, well more like a pour as it poured out liquid into my garbage can and all the way out the door. The blue strip around the top that is supposed to be used to gather the top and carry the bag broke on every single bag. The "hem" that is supposed to hold the blue strap wasn't even closed on most the bags leaving it dangling. And to make matters worse, they are supposed to be "unscented", but they stink of plastic/chemicals. After fighting with the first roll and mopping up behind the leaky bags, I broke down and tossed the other roll. I would not recommend these bags to anyone.

These trash bags are heavy duty, but try to get them open and placed in can is the worst experience I have ever had with a trash bag!! If you are old, experience arthritis in hands or wrist or just sick of bags not opening when you shake them forget these!

I have always used Hefty bags because they were the strongest and most reliable bag that I found. I'm not sure what happened but several of these bags, in different boxes we have purchased, leaked!! Nothing out of the ordinary in any of the bags to cause a rip and I couldn't see any obvious tears but they definitely leaked. I ignored it since it was one or two bags in different boxes, "oopsies" happen, right? Since too many "oopsies" have caused several bags to leak in several different packages, I would not recommend getting these 30 gallon bags unless you're throwing away something totally dry and cannot leak :(

I was so disappointed! All my bags strings keep tearing out, the bags rip open extremely easily and needed to double bag every time I'm using these. I had Nooo issues using Sam's club brand and I go back when I finished this box. I treated myself since this was a on-sale as. 4.00 off each box. I'm shocked at the poor quality.

These trash bags smell like urinal cakes. Nowhere on the package does it say that they're scented, and it certainly doesn't warn you that they'll give your shop the essence of an airport bathroom. Why the Heck would you add scent to a trash bag anyway? It's for trash. When it stinks, you take it out. These stink out of the box. Will say it would be a nice bag if they didn't give me the urge to run to the bathroom.

I purchased these in May and every other one if not more is slit down the side immediately and I have to use another bag to put the initial bag in! I've always bought the hefty 33 gal and I'm hoping this just just a bad batch... but definitely frustrating
