We bought 6 for our school playground. They have been tough and durable.

12 month review. Installation is difficult, but worth it. Glass is the limited part of the warranty. Glass broke spontaneously on a very hot evening, while not in play. Lifetime sent me new glass for $150 shipping, no charge on the glass backboard assembly. A one-time deal. It would have been only $75 shipping for the smaller backboard. It is a very nice playing and looking hoop. It required 11, 80 lb. bags of cement into a tapered hole (8 bags specified). The only thing I don't care for is that the plastic protectors around the bottom of the backboard hold and drip water. Both backboards have done this.

we put up this week. The digging for the base is tough. The goal is nice when up. The kids love it.

Replaced rim

This is a really nice goal that my kids love. The crank adjustment is a little stiff but I will try lubrication to see if that helps. Not sure how the installation instructions came up with 8 80# bags of ready mix. It took all of 17 bags, plus a little of an 18, .6 cubic feet per bag.

I just bought the 54" in-ground, tempered-glass basketball hoop (Model # 90568). I'm getting ready to install it this weekend. Upon reading the actual specifications, the documentation says the 'Backboard Dimensions' are 49.5 in. x 33 inches. I very intentionally wanted to purchase a 54" backboard, not a '49.5"' one as the specs indicate. Why are you advertising this as a 54" backboard if it's not??
