great picture weak on alexa

I got the tv because it says it has Alexa app and all full features, so the idea was to replace my echo with this. sadly alexa does not work. now we have a great tv (amazing picture) but i still watch my news in the echo since the LG tv refuses to work. It should be a five stars given the amazing picture quality, but since it was advertised as alexa tv, i am offering 3 stars with the hope that someone will fix the apps

Overall good but ....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I like the TV, Picture, Sound and the Menu system layout. The only problem that I see is the menu system responds slow. I believe it to be a combination of the remote and the system itself but that delay seems problematic. This TV is connected to a 100gb wireless router which is connected to my 250gb fiber network so I'm sure it is not the network connections. Clicking on the apps and even just navigating on the menu tends to be slow to the point of inadvertently clicking again and then going to the wrong locations and needing to back up. The menu speed and more distinct highlighting of the selected items would be good changes that would increase my rating.

I find this television a little challenging with my Spectrum cable, This seems like it would be easier just using apps. I was familiar with my old smart tv that opened to HDMI 1 which was my cable channels. This wasn't an expensive tv but I expected better picture color quality when viewing not totally in front of it like from my kitchen.

I bought it last month and so far it is living up to our expectations. We have placed it in our basement and usually watch it in dark theater like room setting :-) and looks awesome. I know this is an edge lit and not the brightest of all but works perfect to our usage and lives up to our expectations of nice huge UHD TV experience. I have added a nice 5.1 sound system and living the theater experience at home :-).

We got ours for my bedroom because we're going to start streaming shows and get away from the cable. It comes with a lot of shows already loaded on it then we added some but don't expect to turn the TV on and just watch your show you have to navigate through the channels or options, define what you wanna watch. The picture is decent quality some channels. It's actually very good but the streaming end of it is slow compared to our other TVs with the Roku for what we use it for. It's good but the remote is terrible I find myself tapping the remote several times to get it to respond . The Roku remote on our other TVs response much faster. Overall, it's just a good TV.

Need a user manual

I purchased this television after my plasma television of 15 years died. I like the picture, I like how easy it was to get hooked up - but there is no manual (nor was I able to find one online). In the process of setting it up, a “voice” told me what to do - but it was so fast that I was unable to determine what the “voice” was telling me to do! I am still have to use two remotes to operate the set, and have no idea how to access many of the “extras” that are supposed to be a part of it (which is the reason why I have this set 4 stars instead of 5).

The TV is really nice. Great picture and sound. The remote is absolutely terrible. It has thus “magic” icon that moves around the screen making it difficult to click on what you want. I tried to disable thus function and there are instructions on how to do this but then it just appears again.

First one failed in 2 hours

First TV developed a vertical line through the picture in less than 2 hours. My pet peeve with the LG is the mute, does not stop the digital audio output. If your using a soundbar with Digital optical input, you can't mute the TV sound from the LG remote. Next pet peeve - closed captioning on/off requires navigating through 4 menus, vice one or two button pushes on my old TV
