The brass spigot fits a standard hose fitting, btw. The 6x8 inch plastic screen can easily be trimmed to fit your downspout. There's a round 5" hole in the barrel top, underneath the screen, which fit my flexible round plastic downspout perfectly. I trimmed the screen to match the 5" ohole in the barrel top so that the screen had a custom appearance.

Misaligned drilled holes keeps 1 spinning wheel slightly off on the base and thus difficult to turn the barrel and the holes on the side are just a bit too large and let's flies in. It appears someone just rushed through drilling holes for the wheels and sides at a rapid pace without paying a attention. A rain barrel i purchased from Sam's also had quality issues and was from the same company this compost barrel is from.

I like the flat back design, it nestles better against the house. Spigot at the BOTTOM is a plus also (surprises me how many of these have the spigot a foot from ground--a waste of water in the barrel). And can't beat the price! Would get a 5 star if they would put a screen or a top that can be elevated, removed, lifted--etc. My favorite rain barrel has that feature, just can't find it anymore.

I would say overpriced Probably should have purchased a " stand" to put on for stability and draining access BUT did not know that you can purchase it . Lots of debris inside from drilling and cutting during assembly - RINSE OUT WITH HOSE B-4 you install

After extensively reviewing this brand, I decided to purchase 2 of them. The reviews were mostly decent. I had them installed and got torrential rains the same night. Overflow is a huge problem so make sure the water will properly drain away from your foundation. Mine is suspended on river rocks and concrete stones. My biggest concern is that they both leak around the spigot and seal continuously which really burns my @$$$$$. They need to construct these better! Overall, they're aesthetically pleasing which is the main reason I bought them instead of a $5 food storage bin. Thesee are overpriced and not worth the price I paid. Some reviewers suggested marine epoxy. Maybe buy some of that before you buy these barrels.

i liked the look and ease of light weight installation. B ut this thing leaks bad and i tried to hook a hose up to the bottom faucet part and it does not attach without faucet pulling out. i dont know if its the cheap plastic or the faucet that came with.

This barrel should be a bit larger , say 25%, and have 2 outlets for hose connection to allow for barrel to drain at a rate that will keep up with a strong rain. As it is, a strong steady rain will cause barrel to overflow before hose outlet can drain.

Terrible product. Would give negative stars if I could. The metal spigot has to be screwed into the plastic threading which is a terrible design. I followed the directions exactly and the first time I tried screwing it in the plastic threading stripped and made the product worthless.

I put the drain together and hooked up the gutter, after the first rain it was leaking around the flange that the drain screwed into. The flange wasn’t glued. I cleaned it all up and put silicone around the flange and reinstalled. Rained yesterday, so far so good

Easy to put together, looks nice and does the job I need to water my small garden bed. There are a few flaws I wasn’t pleased with: Mfg didn’t clean shavings and cut out pieces from inside the barrel. Hole in the top is so small it was hard to clean out debris. Faucet had a small drip after it was filled with water (used sealant to stop it). Overall it’s an average barrel that does the job
