[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very happy with the efficacy of Tide Original Liquid Detergent, especially when I was able to use it under various water temperatures and wash cycles. It does a great job of cleaning and removing visible dirt from clothes, towels and sheets and pretty much anything else I put in the washer! I washed a set of drapes that were quite dusty and they came out noticeably brighter and cleaner, and they had a fresh scent, as did all of my laundry. I like to boost my scents, so I used Tide with and without scent boosters and the performance was excellent either way. The clear cap makes measuring easier and liquid always makes me feel like it gets into the garments better than a powder would. I highly recommend this product which stands alone as the leader in laundry care.

P&G you've done it again. First you changed the original scent of Downy a few years back and now you've changed the original scent of Tide. Why change a good thing? Why not just come out with a new scent instead of changing a classic? Since y'all probably won't change the scent back like Downy hasn't switched back even after losing many long time customers, I have an idea. Why not come out with a Tide and Downy classic scent? For those of us who never thought the scents needed to be changed in the first place. I'll still buy other Tide scents and other P&G detergents, ONLY because all other detergent brands smell like glass cleaner to me. But I'm not happy about the scent change and I think it says a lot about what Tide and P&G think of their customer's full satisfaction.

The free and clear detergent in the white bottle is fine. But your orange bottle stinks of chemical fragrance. I had to wear a triple layer mask to be able to have my nurse come around me. All laundry detergents that are not free and clear, have the stink, and are a respiratory irritant. They cause me to cough and gag. That chemical smell lingers for days in one's home. Especially on your furniture.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it comes to laundry detergent there are so many different scents and focuses that I think companies are losing their focus one what the main purpose of detergent is. Clean the clothes. This Tide brand is plain and straightforward. It gets the job done without trying to do unnecessary stuff.

Tide did an excellent job of getting the stains out of mine and my children's clothes. I like that it suds up well in the washer and the scent is clean and refreshing. I can tell this is a good quality detergent and will definitely continue to use this product on my laundry.

They have a great selection of scents which all smell amazing and keep my clothes looking as good as new. Tide is the only brand that I will ever purchase. I've tried several other brands in the past and none of them have ever Kept my clothes looking as great as tide does. Another reason I love Tide is because the scents stays on for several weeks after washing. I can take a comforter out of the closet that I washed several weeks ago and it still smells as good as the day I washed it. I‘ve had my front loader washer and dryer for over 13 years now and I've never had a problem while using Tide.

I was a loyal Tide user until Acti lift was added to the product several years ago. That is when the scent first changed for the worse. It has never been the same since. It also does not clean as well, especially on whites. I switched to another brand not made by P&G but every so often try Tide again. I am very disappointed. You say you base your changes on consumer research. The consumer response based on these reviews should tell you something. No one seems to like any of Tides scents now. Please go back to the old, old original scent.
