My lab mix pup loves his new house. I was skeptical that he wouldn't like the door but all I had to do was put his favorite toy inside and he went in after it. It is his go-to place for napping. It was easy to assemble once I figured out that I was trying to attach the floor through the drain holes instead of the much smaller holes for the base screws.Thanks to Pam in customer service and the Youtube assembly video for setting me straight.

Bought for 2 dogs. One dog is large and the other med. If both were to use it, it would be cramped. Only the smaller one will go inside. She seems to really like it. Problem we had though is the side walls appear to be too short to attach thru the pre-drilled holes into the base. So it easily comes apart or falls over if the big dog hits it. It does seem to offer good insulation for the colder weather.

I use this for rescued puppies at 5+ weeks old depending on their size. I installed an electric "Hound Heater" which keeps it nice and warm inside in all weather. I ran the cord through the wall of the dog house. The insulation is actually small balls of foam so once I cut a hole they went everwhere. I put some spray foam in hole and cut it again for the cord to go through. The puppies have chewed on the corners some but it is tough and they have not done much damage. I built a wood ramp that helps small puppies go in and out. Some litters immediatelly go in and out the door and ramp. Some (especially really small ones) take some practice and training. They figure it out quicker when it is freezing outside but I do have to be careful they are all in for the night. I don't usually put bedding in so that they won't soil the inside. They learn real quick to go outside.

I honestly can't say enough about this product and the brand's customer service. We first purchased 2 of these nearly a decade ago now and they are awesome in the California desert and now in the Colorado mountains. We first had a damaged door on one, well before they had a parts list to order spares and they shipped us one without any problem. We then moved to Colorado. Unfortunately in our travels we lost most of one and didn't have a roof for the other. I contacted the company and they replaced the floor and roof within 4 days of contact. Only had to pay shipping... I'm not saying that'll happen with everyone but it's fantastic that the stand behind their products so much and care about their customers. I've used their solar fans on both houses and plan to use the heater this winter for the snowy conditions.

We just brought home our 7 month old yellow lab puppy. Loved everything about this house. However, within 2 weeks, my pup was able to somehow chew a half dollar size hole in the interior wall and dug out a good bit of styrofoam bb’s. She also managed to get to the fan cord and chewed it in half. Bet it’s great for more settled dogs.

We have purchased 8 of these ASL dog palace dog houses several years ago and they are still in excellent condition. The dog houses came with all necessary hardware/screws and covers for the screws. They fit to together tightly and do not leak. I routinely tip the dog houses over end to end while cleaning them out and they do not come apart. The manufacture has assembly and informational videos on their website. Tip: spray corners and edges & doors with bitter apple to deter chewing by puppies or dogs that like to chew. We raised dogs and no chewing so far. There is a lifetime warranty on cracking or breaking.

Easy to assemble, very sturdy and the only insulated dog house I found on the market. Sam's price and shipping cost were the best around. Reading some reviews it seemed like the door was the hardest part of the process. I laid the base down and got my dog to walk on it. This took all of a minute to coax him to stand on it. Then I attached everything except the front panel and got him to walk inside 2 or 3 times. After putting the front panel on I held the door open and let him walk in and out several times. I then let the door close while he was inside and he pushed it open to get out. After holding the bottom portion open he pushed through the rest and went right inside. That was all it took, less than 5 minutes. He now chooses this dog house over the old one.
