Very sturdy, and many exercises can be performed on it well

I bought this item last week. There are a 100's of little parts and 100s of nuts and bolts and not a single part has a number on it. So you have to figure out what part it is and where it goes. Impossible to assemble in 1 day, not worth the time to assemble. Worst item instructions I have seen. And no return on this item thru Sams club, essentially stuck with it.

The set itself, once put together, is great. There are lots of functions to choose from making the value fantastic. The assembly instructions, however, are TERRIBLE. There are nothing but pictures and diagrams, and the diagrams for threading the cables and pulleys were very confusing.

I placed my original order on 11/5/23 with expected delivery on 11/20/23. As of 11/20/23, there was no meaningful tracking information via the cryptic Maersk-Pilot site and I contacted Sam's via chat and a replacement was processed. As of 11/23/23, delivery of the replacement order was expected on 11/30/23. Meanwhile, the order status on the Maersk-Pilot site remained unchanged....and then the order statuses and delivery dates kept changing and were out-of-sync between the Sam's and Maersk-Pilot sites, so by 12/4/23 I contacted Maersk-Pilot directly and scheduled delivery on 12/5/23 within a 4-hour window. Maersk-Pilot called when they arrived on 12/5/23. Before the item was unloaded from the truck, right in front of my front door surveillance I asked if there would be any extra charges for delivery and the rep said no. The MWM-4965SC gym was shipped/delivered in one giant 306lb box. I assembled the gym using the included instructions and MWM-4965 assembly video from YouTube and couldn't be happier with the solid quality and smooth and quiet operation of the unit.

difficulties include (I am 5'10 and 200 ibs.): 1) with leg curls, you must have the backside of your knees on one foam roller and you ankles push up on the other side: not very comfortable and engagement doesn't start for 20-30 degrees. 2) with lat pull-down, you cannot use the backboard: you must scoot up or back on the seat and the range of motion is limited. 3) doesn't include forearm curl pad, nor is can one be purchased as an add-on. 4) what is needed is variable adjustment on pulleys to eliminate slack (the instruction as is calls for step adjustment which is difficult and doesn't get rid of all slack. 5) range of motion on most exercises is limited because of slack at the beginning or weights topping out at the end.

It’s a decent machine for the price, but has a pretty limited range of motion, especially for anyone taller than about 5’5.

The rods behind that cover are painted ones not electroplated heavy duty. They are bound to fail after some time. This is light weight temporary home gym.
